How do you Generate traffic for your blog ??

So my fellow mylotters please share your opinion on how to generate traffic for your blog.
Let me start first. my ways are
1. submitting your blog to search engines (this method hardly works :P)
2. Posting your blog links in forum and in your signature in all the forums you are active.
3.posting it on social networking sites (mylot, mypage5 etc)
4. running offers on your blog (currently new idea i got and running offers on my blog to)
5.Exchanging blog links with other blogger of same theme.
6. posting your blog link in all the comments you give on other bloggers site.
This are my few ways.

Indeed you are right , these are the known ways of generating traffic to our Blog . The most important goes in them is the Backlinks strategy . This has a capability to increase traffic manifolds . It can also increase the Pagerank of a blog if done meticulously.
