Need an advice about the MBA

Hello mylotters, This vishonboard , i am planning for the MBA in International Business from a institute of repute, I am Msc in Mobile communications with 2+ years of experience in the field. I am looking for the top management job in the same industry (Telecoms) so i am touch confused weather to go for the MBA or stick to my field and get some experience and is it worth going for the MBA ... genuine replies only please .... cheers !!

I think you should do MIT if you want to make carrier in IT field. ME personally doing MBA in finance, because i want to become accountant.Auditor is also option for me.

Thanks umer5222 , I am in to the telecoms/ wireless field and already have an MSc thats a Masters form UK, so the point is this is the technical degree with this if i stick in to my field for few years i can look at the position technical experts down the line but that won't actually involve in the top management and add to that the scope will be limited ... with the MBA the scope widens and brings new opportunities on table that was the main reason for me to think about the MBA with globalization is the flavor International business looks the good options !!!! what do u say abt this !!!

It depends on your specialization, i do agree MBA has broad field, But it create carrier to become accountant, auditor, Department mangers, Functional manager or like this something. But MIT is totally focused on IT field and widely accepted, as you are saying you like telecoms, this is specialization field for you. MBA is for those who wants some multiple option in carrier. Not much specializes or focused in one field.
