Sometimes a lie can be good, but you have to try to avoiding lieing as much as possible. However, a lie is a lie, you are still telling a person / giving him false information. Whenever i lie, i always feel a sense of guilt. I feel that saying the truth will get you further in life. Sometimes in certain, acceptional conditions, you can lie, when theres no other way of making better of that situation. SO basically when you really have to lie, think about it twice, because it can result in a serious consequence.

to lie or not to lie. good or bad. these all depends on our belief system and our personal beliefs. Others may say that lying for a good cause is good while others say that lying whatever the reason is evil. From my own opinion, if the lie is in order to prevent agreater harm, without any malice or evil intent coming from you, it is not bad. Otherwise, it is evil

Obviously it is best to never lie, but it is not always realistic. I think in minor situations lying is necessary, because sometimes it is better to spare people the truth, especially when the truth will just hurt the person. Sometimes lying is necessary to protect yourself even, and I am ok with that even if it isn't something major. In other cases someone might lie and not even realize they are. I really think that lying is more about a person's own view and perspective of a situation, a lie to me might not be a big deal at all to someone else. So I definitely think there is a time and place to lie, obviously the exception to this is if you are dealing with law enforcement, because the likelihood of getting caught in a lie increases, and the consequences would be much worse than it would be, say, if you just told your friend that the new haircut they got looks great, when you think it looks silly.
