Internship to Students, How this helpful?

During my internship i was been working as a delivery boy contrary to my course as i studied Information Technology but i was assigned by the company at the delivery department. So its really sad for me but nothing i can do at those time. as i am really eager to be an intern as it was really out of time finding companies that would best cater my needs as a student.
Anyway, How thus Internship helpful to you or to your friend or a person that you knew?

I finished my internship as a part of my education and final exams about 1½ months ago. I learned during my internship that the models i have learned in general also works in practice, also i choosed to have my internship in another country of my study and origin. Learning to work with different cultures can be very useful skills later on, ofcause depending the kind of education.

I certainly hope the best for other people that need to get their internship done. I believe that a company should only take in interns if they can find some decent work for them related to thier studies.

I had an intern work with me when I was managing a used car lot/financing lot. He was going to school for business management, so I tried to teach the ins and outs of the lot. I let him do everything except make decision, but I did allow his input.
I think it was good for him, because he wasn't sure what he wanted to do when he got out of college. He did end up going into sales, and I am sure that he is doing quite well.

wow..that is surprising...that defeats the purpose!
Internship helps a lot to students so that they can apply in actual what they have learned at school, strengthen their skills and learn from other people!
