Do you believe that once you have done something bad, you're "bad" or "evil" forever and can never take it back, and like condemned to go to hell without exception? Or do you believe that doing something good can redeem the bad that you've done?
I definately think you can redeem youself through selfish acts of kindness. I mean, I don't think people should go out and "sin" wrecklessly, just thinking that they can make it up later, but if something bad does happen and it's your fault, I think you can always find a way to be good again.

Some of the good teachers are the once who already been to the worst possible situations before. Prisoners who made heinous mistakes who decided to come out from the dark often are great examples of this. I think a bad person can redeem himself if he really wanted to bring peace in his inner mind and soul.
