I do. I like to listen to 70's or 80's music when I exercise, it all depends on my mood.

Actually, the best thing to do when you feel down is exercise. I say this because I have had major battles with depression, and I found that I felt much better when I exercise.

I need to listen to music when I work out. I either listen to hardcore music, like Throwdown, because it just gets you so amped and pissed off that you want to break stuff and it makes it much easier to lift lol. I also listen to some pump up rap, like Roy Jones Jr.'s can't be touched. That just makes you feel invincible, and has the same effect as the hardcore. I love pump up music, it gives you such an awesome feeling, almost like a high. It's so cool. Cheers!

that's necessary since the beat of the music will help you jive with the exercises. four factors that influence a song’s ability to help you run: rhythm response, musicality, cultural impact, and association. More interesting findings: subjects who cycled to music required 7% less oxygen; people who ran to synchronized music experienced a 15% increase in endurance; and people increase or decrease effort and pace to match the tempo of music.

I don't know if it is really necessary to have music while you work out but it can be a real motivator to push it a little harder. I know that I like to listen to music while I work out and have a cd I put together just for songs that help me motivate more while working out. I also take vitamins and health products and started with the weight gainer stuff too but I found the real help comes from amino acid drinks you make from a powder mix. You want the ones with the most aminos in it. Not just one or two types. I found that Purple Wraath is the best thing I could have ever found. It not only helps out in my workouts but gives me overall extra energy and makes me feel good with natural ingredients and NO caffeine.

I also prefer to listen to music why I'm exercising because it is a little bit boring and my lost my interest to exercise if I don't hear anything. It helps you to motivates and it makes you energetic. Like they said it is very helpful if you hear something while you exercise.

i can't focus to my workout if there's no hit banging music around, it's like having noddles without a soup on it...it was frustrating one time when i bought to be done with my workout my power suddenly cut and we are pist off inside the gym, we all finish our workout unhappy..
