I was looking through some of the money that North Carolina has been spending and I have to say it is a bummer. In fact I saw some major problems. Makes me wonder why they ever spent some of this cash. In fact most of the cash is to fix the military areas. But there are some stupid things to. Peanuts roasted regular 12/16 oz sizes $715,910.00 Spent. 12/18 oz creamy peanut butter $414,445 spent Batteries $91,276.00 Spent 12/18 oz creamy peanut butter $1,300,676.00 spent I do believe that is all wasted money. There was many more of these including snack crackers at $50,000 Do you think the US is really watching where they are spending the stimulus? Do you think it is a waste? Personally I would have rather that cash be seen going to local schools not spent on peanut butter.

It seems to be popular opinion that the stimulus money was nothing more than a waste of taxpayer dollars. First, recalling the bail-out of AIG, several executives were caught having a nice, lavish vacation. Did it saves the jobs of the ordinary workers? I very much doubt it. The bailout of the banks didn't do much good either. Bank employees still found themselves without jobs, & houses were still being foreclosed. I believe they still are. Other things that did not quite work was this cash for gas guzzling clunkers thingie. I have seen right here on myLot where GM (General Motors) has been nicknamed Government Motors. I can go on & on with what this company did wrong, but I'll leave that out. Many did trade in their gas guzzlers for more fuel-efficient vehicles, but it did not quite work the way I'm sure the federal government hoped. Instead of buying cars made by GM or Chrysler, many bought cars made by Toyota & Ford. Not all of it was merely wasted, because some of the stimulus money did go to school districts & state-run universities & community colleges.

In New York State, there seems to be a lot of waste. The schools & community colleges & sate-run universities are all hurting. That is despite having the highest taxes paid my residents & business than any other state. That makes me wonder where all that money is going to. U diubt that it is anything on the list you made, but I think some of the salaries earned by some of the city & state employees are kind of ridiculous.

I can not believe that some of these state workers are making what they are making. I know they were showing on our local news station how much a road construction worker was making, They were paying them $24.50 an hour. The trash pick up for the local towns and county, the workers are making right around $20 an hour, yet the local trash business is paying min wage to there workers. I guess you have to work for the county or state to get rich.
