What are the trade offs for the new Health Care reform that Obama supports?

I am very interested in politics and especially the new health care reform that has been a big issue in the United States. I have a current opinion on this issue due to my conservative nature but I have gotten all my facts from reading and listening to major conservative voices such as Dr. James Dobson and of course Rush. I would like to know the opposing side of the Health Care issue. What those of you who support the reform have to say about things like how doctors will have less of an incentive to treat all people under the reform. Will elderly people who are not deemed beneficial to society be cut out of the plan because they end up just being an expense? Will this be the start of the slippery slope of socialism in America? And any other input into this new reform that looks like it could totally change our present health care system.

It is all part of the plans and purposes under the American Recovery Act of 2009. The intention is great, but i hope the process and iplementations will be fair and equal for all to avail.
