12 year old girl walking to school raped in a front garden!

Criminal justice - Crime = Breaking a law = Criminal justice

I have just read a sickening Yahoo! news story which stated: Yesterday in an area of east London called Leytonstone at around 08:25am a 12 year old girl was on her way to school when a man in his late teens (around 18/19) started talking to her before suddenly grabbing her and forcing her into a front garden in which he raped her, the attack went on for 10 minutes, whilst the girl will probably suffer from this ordeal for the rest of her life, how can people be so selfish and evil in this world? what is it that makes them sickeningly rape a 12 year old girl, people like this need to be put in jail for life, and suffer what other inmates give them when they hear what the guy is in there for..what are your views? you read these stories ever day in the news and they are just horrible. you really can't let your kids walk even a short distance alone anymore. And you are right...the law does not do enough to the criminals of these acts. If they do any jail time at all it is minimal. They then just get out to do the crime again.

I agree, every day an even more shocking unprovoked violent attack happens, and its something beyond psychotic however the justice system seems to still be giving them minimal sentences and then letting them out after sometimes not even a third of their sentence, the reason this country has such high crime is the criminals know that they will either not be sentenced or if they are it wont be for long, we need to put real life sentences on these people meaning until they die..that will make them some think before doing this type of thing...thanks for your response

Yes, and the prison stay for these types of violent crimes should not be as pleasant as it is. some really don't mind prison at all.
