How is your love life? If you had to choose a TV show to best describe it which one would you choose? I would choose ‘Friends’ because the romance has waned a little but we are great friends and we laugh together’ my husband disagreed; he said we are more like ‘Ma and Pa Kettle’!!! Do you believe it??? We might go from ‘Friends’ to just ‘Married with Children’ after a comment like that! My friend said hers was more like ‘The Dead Zone’ which I thought was tad dramatic... My cousin described his as ‘The Big Bang Theory’, it was so long ago he can only theorise... Which TV show would you choose?

Lost in Space ah? Unlike the Family Robinson surely your love life can find its way home!I have not watched Lost in Space, believe it or not but I did enjoy the 1980s series of The Twilight Zone. It is interesting that you compare it to you love life, hopefully it may change to Love Boat or something...OMG, that's terrible! It's the only TV show with the word love that I could think of!

Hmmmm, I would say my exes lives with me, at least.. it was like Friends too..and then sometimes, I feel like Seinfeld! LOL. And at other times, it felt like The Simpsons. All those weird out type of love, but can be heartbreaking too like the Titanic..well almost. As if, ha! If I can choose my love life to be like in a movie or TV show, I would choose a feel good movie starring Meg Ryan. Any movie would do. And for TV shows, anything with the cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S ... awesome..

Meg Ryan's sweet, positive smile really melts my heart, LOL.. I agree when Harry met Sally is one of the most awesome love movies ever. And Homer.. LOL.. I can imagine how chaotic a family life can be if people are like him, ha.. you are welcome, Paula.

I hope my family never turns out like 'The Simpsons'! I don't want a Homer! Oh dear he has put on a little weight...Ahhhh!!!...Noooo!!I'll stick to 'Friends' and put him on a diet!(LOL) I know what you mean about the Meg Ryan love stories, they are so positive, fun and they generally end well, my favourite is still when Harry Met Sally! Thanks Zed!

I know I'll be dating myself here but I'd have to say Laugh-In. It's so ridiculous it's funny. As long as we're not discussing something serious, it's one big joke. When things get serious, though, it's more like General Hospital. All drama with my husband usually hooked up to a blood pressure monitor or complaining about his aches and pains. (He's a hypochondriac... won't see a doctor, just likes to complain.) He's also convinced I need to see these quacks who promise a cure for fibromyalgia and handing them huge sums of money; in cash, of course, quacks don't take insurance. Yeah, I'd have to say it's either like Laugh-In or General Hospital here.

Geez...That's from one extreme to the other but life is like that isn't it? They are excellent comparisons and it is good that you have a bit of Laugh-In to balance out the drama of General Hospital. What is it with men and doctors? My father is the same; he is very healthy but he keeps telling us he's dying but would not go to a doctor anyway! Thanks for responding mentalward!

The tv show that best describes my life is "betrayed". It comes in the reality tv although i dont know the time.it is the show where people who betray their loved ones are put in front of the camera and made to confess it. As i also have been betrayed i think this show is the one that best describes my life.

I have seen snippets of that show; it looks very cruel and I can't believe how people hurt others like that on national TV! I'm sorry you have been through your own real life version of 'Betrayed'. I hope you get over the hurt and can move on to happier times. Thanks for the response bbk_shrestha, I appreciate it!

I have been told a few times from friends that my family and life reminds them of a mix between "Still Standing" and "Rita Rocks" They say it is because of the way that my husband and I are with one another so playful and loved even after all these years and because of the open way that we raise our kids. We watch both of those shows and there are times that it reminds me of our lives. Ritas youngest daughter Shannon so reminds me of my daughter on so many levels =)

It sounds like fun at your house!I haven't seen either of those shows but I can tell they are fun ones and very positive comparisons. Living a playful life is the only way to live, I think; there is so much seriousness in the world, we need to break it down sometimes... Thank you for responding froggieslover, keep having fun!

Well we still have our serious sides especially in the way of responsibilites and chores but like you said it is good to have fun and be able to just let go. Your home is where you come to be you and feel safe and if you can't have fun and let go at home then where can you? Have a great week paula

I don't have a love life right now. But one TV show before made an impact on me because I can relate to the character. That series is Ally McBeal. I can relate to the series because of Ally's first love, Billy. Even though Billy is already married, they are still secretly in love with each other. Ally is still in love and greatly affected when she saw her ex-boyfriend again after so many years. I used to feel this way 'coz I have an ex-boyfriend to whom I was in love with for several years even though we have drifted apart. I felt that I will feel what Ally felt when I see him again. Good thing that I learned to finally move on and when I saw my ex-boyfriend again, all I can feel is happiness for him and his new life. There are no more tensions and bitter feelings.

Ally McBeal was easy to relate to, she was...Human!It's interesting how much of her story line on the show applies to real life. Your story sounds very much like hers. My favourite episode was the one with the dancing baby...Thanks for responding and I'm glad you have moved on...

I am not sure Paula. There must be some shows which I do not watch but then if you ask me, FRIENDS is one show that I have been following since my teens. I have grown with them, cried, laughed, loved and got hurt with them. I can relate to the show very much and coming to my love life, it has been a roller coaster ride just as with Rachel or Phoebe. I am just in love with the characters as much as I am with my close friends. So, yes, most definitely, they describe me in many ways. May be, some trait from each.

I love Friends although I found that toward the end of the series it went downhill a little; I still watched and enjoyed it though! I think most of us could relate to the dating dilemmas and the dynamics of youngish single people's lives. My favourite episode of all time was when Ross and Rachel finally got together with 'that kiss'! Thanks Mimpi!

Oh dear! (LOL) Seinfeld was supposed to be about nothing but it was far from that! I watched a marathon of Seinfeld episodes the other day; no matter how many times I watch them, I still laugh! At least Seinfeld dated a fair bit, I hope you get to do that too! Thanks for responding BarbaraPrxz!

I would really have to say my life would more reflect rosaene, the conner family is chaotic and unorganized, with true love to hold a steady balance in between everything. me and my bf of 6 years talk at each other in smart remarcs and sarcasim, our life is so crazy during the day with all our activities and jobs, and birthdays for the kids, and now of course christmas. and through all the sarcasm and smart remarks, there is still a unity that bonds us closer everyday.

Friends is good. If you are friends above all it is the basis of a good solid relationship. I like comparing our relationship to 'Friends' because we have a lot of fun too as they do on the show...Which was brilliant except it changed a bit towards the end...Thanks for responding neelimaravi!
