The list of best marketing sites for online writers?

For those of you who write on sites like Triond, AC (Associated Content), Bukisa- Which sites do you use to market your articles?
I use sites like- twitter, facebook, digg, yahoobuzz, stumbleupon, delicious and a few others.
But they don't get too many hits. They do make some difference, but not too much. Most of my hits come from Google directly.
Can you suggest some good sites that can help in marketing articles?

I find that using social bookmarking sites don't actually gain many readership unless you're an active user of that site. If you keep posting your own articles you don't really get readership.
I think the best is to rely on natural organic traffic from search engines.
