Do you brush your teeth?

Brush your teeth! - Brushing your teeth is very important, especially since if you don't the bacteria on your teeth will make them rot and turn black.

Hey mylotters! This question is something I took out of my every day life. I, do not brush my teeth and I know that's very bad that I don't, I just simply am to lazy to do so and for some reason I don't find the time to do it. I know that if you don't brush your teeth, bacteria will start feeding off the food remains on your teeth and if you don't remove them, by brushing your teet, your teeth will start rotting and turn black. It's just I'm too lazy to do so. So my question for you is: Do you brush your teeth? and How can you force yourself to do so?

Wow, I was surprised by what you said. But I do understand because I sometimes feel tired brushing my teeth too. It's just that I always bear in mind that I need to practice proper hygiene at all times. I think you need to think that way too. ;-)

Definitely! I love my teeth and I wanna look good to the eyes of the people. Try keeping a toothbrush on your bed, or on the place where you most often sit/read/do work the whole day. Or try posting a picture of a man with a bad teeth on your wall, in your room or even in the bathroom. Just so you'll be reminded that you don't want to look like them in the future. Happy brushing :)

When I was little, I rarely brushed my teeth. I've gotten a lot better, but I'm so tired all the time, so it's hard for me to get up and go brush my teeth. I have braces now, so I have to be even more careful about not missing brushing them. I set 2 reminders on my yahoo mail account... it sends me an email twice a day, to remind me to brush them. This way, I at least have something to kind of check off, when I brush them, and I have a reminder to brush. So, I brush them at least twice a day... I used to keep my floss, toothbrush, toothpaste, ect. right by where I sit, in my room. So if I was really sleepy, I could brush them, without having to get up, and stand at the sink. When I was ready to um... spit ... I'd go to the sink. It's not messy, if you're careful. At least you don't have to stand for long, that way. Anyway... that was my last resort, because I knew if I didn't do that, I'd go to bed without brushing, and I'd probably get a cavity Could you do something like that? If I wasn't so tired and/or lazy, I'd probably be brushing them 5 times a day... it really bugs me, when they feel yucky

Really? I'm surprised! Brushing our teeth is part of our personal hygiene. Maybe you mean you don't brush your teeth on a daily basis. I brush my teeth 3 times a day. I'm afraid of tooth extraction so I do my best to take care of my teeth. Rotting teeth may cause bad breath and toothache is very painful. Though I don't have a perfectly aligned teeth, I make sure I got a confident smile.

Yeah. I do think it's funny and weird. But don't you get toothaches or mouth sores? And if I may ask, do your teeth still look good or don't your teeth decay? I don't want to sound offensive but, does your breath stink? This is my first time to hear something like this. It's your choice though.

No unfortunately, I really don't. I think the last time I did brush my teeth was over a year ago during a wedding of my nephew. I think big events are the only thing that will make me brush me teeth once on that day. Pretty weird, yes, but true.

Hello borg246 this is checkmail and me too regularly brush mine teeths every morning, after waking up.Its an good habbit to brush our teeths as it refreshes us in the morning, as well as protect our teeths and gums from harmful bacteria, developed over night in our sleep.Even there is an practice to brush the teeths before going to sleep, but am not habbitated to it.Even our teeths get decayed due to more deposits of bacteria, for non brushing of teeths. But still to take precaution in favour of mine teeths, prefer to brush mine teeths, gently and in proper technique.

Yes, Unfortunately I dont, but it's because I'm lazy, just to let you know. And usually because I'm lazy, I don't think about brushing my teeth which is why I end up not doing it. About, my breath, I use spray if it counts. To stop being lazy will be kind of hard though, I'm kind of...addicted to being lazy, I don't think there is a cure to that.

wowwww!!!you really don't do that??? I brush my teeth every morning and evening! And I even don't have any plumb or hole in them - none till my 24y. I have been raised up in such a way that I even don't think if I would like to do it or no. For me it is a must, like you have a shower after you have done some sport activities!!! If you don't take care about yourself then who will??? You have to love yourself!!! Aren't you affraid that you can have a bad smell of your mouth when talking to people???

Yeah it's very true. It's good you do brush your own teeth. I think going to a dentist might solve some of the yellow on my teeth. Yes, I am scared and shy when I talk to my friends and girlfriend but the breath doesn't really matter because I use mouth refreshener, however my teeth would still remain the same colour.

I brush every morning. People say we should brush twice daily but I only brush once. There's no forcing, simply habit. My son stopped brushing his teeth after 17 years old. I find it's dirty and I don't understand how can one go without brushing but I can't get him to start brushing again. Like you said, simply lazy, but don't you feel uncomfortable and unable to see others when you don't brush? That others may smell your bad breath and that you may look dirty? How to kiss if you have boy/girl friend? I want to understand how you feel so that I can counter attack my son's thoughts. LOL

Well, honestly, I am embarressed because of my teeth, especially when talking to my friends, laughing and talking to girls. But there's nothing I can do about it, because even if I force myself to do it, just before I take out the tooth brush, I leave it and go and watch tv.

For me its an automatic thing that I learned as a little girl and have continued now into my fiftys. I can't imagine getting up and not brushing my teeth. I brush my teeth twice a day or sometimes three times a day depending on what I have eaten. If you don't have good oral hygenie it can bring so many other problem to your body. Your teeth if taken care of will keep you alot more healthy then what you are doing. First thing when you get up to go to the bathroom then brush your teeth. What is the condition of your teeth?

Teeth are abit yellow... But I have no rotting teeth or anything. Can't you just go to the dentist and let him do his "magic" on your teeth?

Yes you can go to the dentist and he will do some magic but after that you need to keep up with the care of them. That is brushing, flossing everyday. Good luck to you.

Oh my god, i have to say the truth. I brush my teeth only once every day. I really think you should brush your teeth, believe me you would regret the day when you do not have any more teeth. If i where you i would start brushing your teeth. Imagine, everytime you eat, bacteria deposit on your teeth. These bacteria feed off the remains of food from the previous meal and just like you and me, egest/excrete their wastes on your teeth. This waste is acidic, thats why it corrodes your teeth. Also, thats why you have bad breath in the morning. I brush my teeth because of my biology lesson, on this insight. DUDE, brush your teeth!!!!!! i know someone who has every single one of her teeth fake -- shes only 32! You don't won't to end up like that trust me!

I'm pretty sure, even out of millions of people, that there is atleast one person who doesn't brush his/her teeth either. I hate the dirtiness as much as you do, trust me, but I'm just too lazy to brush them.

I brush my teeth every after meal because I am not comfortable talking with anybody without brushing my teeth. It's really bad for our teeth if we don't brush it since it could rot and make our breath bad

Here's the thing and it's pretty simple. If you don't brush your teeth eventually the bacteria you didn't remove by brushing will cause your teeth to decay. Once your teeth rot down to the nerve, then you'll really feel some pain. The teeth fall out and you can't chew your food. To fix the pain you either need to go to the dentist (and that's pretty expensive) or you have to self medicate-EVERYDAY!!!! So yes, to avoid all that crap, I take 3 minutes out of my life in the morning and night to brush my teeth. You can't force yourself to brush but if you want to avoid all the problems that definitely lie ahead just visualize yourself drinking your food for the rest of your life, without anyone special to share it with. If you don't think this can happen. Think again because it can and it will.

you have a very bad habit deal with and your teeth would be at their worse if you continue to taake the same care as you take now.you cant even brush your teeth atleast once you can brush them before you go to sleep or early in the morning before having bath what there to dedicate few seconds for it and i guess your friends or colleagues must be having a tough time speaking to your rotten words.gud day.
