novels is animals. Usually my pets are the stars. I watch them for hours to get the nuances of their movements, facial features, ear twitches, etc. and find them endlessly fascinating. What is your favorite subject for your work? Do you prefer people or animals? Or are you more into alien life forms? Maybe you prefer travel pieces describing the beauty around you on a trip. Have you had any work published? How long did it take? What was your most encouraging push toward writing? What was your most disappointing pull away from it? I had a fourth-grade teacher who inspired me to keep trying to write and my mother, who always had time to listen to my childish words. Between them, they encouraged me to continue my passion. Mother didn't publish her first book until after she was sixty years old, but went on to publish three more. Are you willing to work hard enough to get someone's attention to print your work? My biggest disappointment was sending my work to a new publisher at his request, who assured me it was terrific, but he said the publishing industry is dying, so I shouldn't get my hopes up. Him, I think, I'll put on my ignore list. Mother got published because she never heard how hard it could be, so she started flooding the publishing world with her stories until someone looked, listened and read. I think she's the one to follow.

I like to write about people, especially disabled people, because no people don't write realistic stories about disabled people. They make us helpless, dependent, useless. We apparently have no goals. As this is untrue, I'm dedicated to helping change this.
