Hello all! Doing a little potential market survey. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested (or thinks anyone else would be) in a service where they could pay someone to write/mail handwritten letters, notes, cards, etc. for them. For example, you want to send a letter to Grandma, but she doesn't use the computer. You "buy" a handwritten letter, giving your personal message and address info...and off it goes. Or say you need to send out thank you cards but you just don't have the time. You submit your gift list with addresses, select a card type, and have handwritten thank you notes sent out for you. What do you guys think? Is this a silly idea? Would you use it? What would you pay for it? (Per word? Per card?)

I don't think that I would use this service. But I think that other people would. I wouldn't because I enjoy writing. I want to push myself to write cards. Also, I enjoy buying them. I think that some other people would use this service though. It's a great service for somebody that doesn't have the time to do such a thing.

Actually, there is a website wherein you can upload your own custom fonts. By that, you would have to write each letter and character on a form that you can download from the site, have it scanned and then upload it to the site. The site would then make this file that you can place in one of your folders in your computer. From there, you can choose it and you can type with your own custom font. Well, I know that a hand written letter is better than one which is printed but, if your trying to find an alternative, that could be it. Anyway, why not just write the letter and send it as usual. Takes time but, would be more of value.

I would want the security of my privacy, just as I assume a lot of others would, so I would want to check the business out first. After that If I felt comfortable using the site, I may, and would pay a flat rate of say 0.05 per word.... and say for the card I'd pay $1.50.
