Is Obama doing the right thing?

I'm not sure. I have very mixed feelings about Afghanistan. On one side, the last troop surge definitely did decrease violence, and I think that this will help too. I just really wish we could pull out as soon as possible and leave this whole bloody mess behind. It's awful that even more brave men and women are going to lose their lives. I mean I know that we can't just leave Afghanistan, but we're fighting a losing battle, and a permanent occupation is too depressing to think about. So here's to hoping this works. Cheers!
