did your parents spank you, when you were little and do you think you are a better person now because of it?

Well, I did receive a bit of spanking when I was 6-7 years old. I was playing with one of my cousins and threw something at him when I got angry on something. My parents punished me severely on that. They took the side of other boy since he was hit without committing any mistake. Well, spanking is not very desirable, yet it disciplines children if used occasionally.

hi sweety_81 i have siblings and cousins i remember one time i got my sister in trouble because i told my mom that she hit me, were older now so i dont know if she remembers. but the good thing is growing up we stuck together rather than getting each other in trouble. yes if used occasionally when needed. some kids are just bad and need a good discipline action, but not all the time.

Yup! My father is a bit perfectionist since he was in the military before. He was strict and rigid to the rules. But I think there's much more to spanking. Yes, I think I'm a better person now. I've grown wiser, I think. Before, I didn't understand my father, why it has always been me. But now I think my father was just doing that because he wanted me to have a good life, he doesn't want me to be careless.

id remember my parents spanked me once in a while for committing mistakes...yeah in a way it helped to remember the bad things that u should not do it again. but it never helped why i am a good person now....i believed there are also other ways in making u a better person...but of course depending on a person or a situation what u should apply.

hi beabenitez, yes i agree i surely did remember the bad stuff i did and my mom did talk to me about why she was doing what she was doing. but yes there are other ways to disciple your children and i guess as far as turning out to be a good person i guess it depends on whether or not that person wants to be a good person or harbor negative feelings and choose to continue to be a bad butt.
