What do you think life would be after death?

Hi all! Each night I think of death and it really scares me. My parents are getting old and I'm preparing for the 'inevitable' event of our lives. I would like to know your thoughts about 'life after death' just to make me somehow 'at peace'.
What do you think life would be after death?

It's as your asleep. Unconscious of everything around you.. Time doesn't exist, and you don't feel any pain or can recall memories.
