Need advice on gaining weight

I have a problem that I guess a lot of people would love to have, but I hate it. I am underweight. Before you laugh and say that I'm crazy for hating being underweight, I will tell you that it is just as dangerous as being overweight. I was told by my doctor that I needed to gain some weight to be in an acceptable range for my age and height, 30 pounds to be exact. It's not that I don't eat or anything, I just have a very high metabolism. I eat all the time, but hardly ever gain any weight. I would like to gain some more weight, but I want to do it in a way that is healthy. I know there are all kinds of crazy diets to go on, but I as wondering if any of you had any ideas on gaining weight. Are there certain foods you would recommend that help build muscle mass? Would you use supplements? If so, what kind?

Well same problem with me. The sad part is sympathy and critics from others. I am trying to take more calories, lets hope best!

Hi scottcoleson. Well, we do have the same problem. I am also underweight and I am worried about it. I hate it too. I am not confident because every time I look myself at the mirror, I feel like my body doesn't look good. Well, many people really love to lose weight but being underweight is a different thing. Right now, I am eating many foods than usual since I also have fast metabolism. I do eat frequently too. I also sleep at least 8 hours a day and I tried taking food supplements that can increase my appetite. I hope we will be able to gain weight already.

Hoo,you are luky.I am overweight.For my advice,you should take more sports.To take a sensiable meal.In this way ,you will benefit a lot from it.Good luck with you .
