I know this is a tough job but somebody needs to do the work or else nobody will take good care of our seniors. I was working in a long term care facility for 6 months. At first it was really hard but then with all the trainings the your earned, experiences, helped from your colleagues and managers, everything will be alright. They pay is also good with good benefits for medical and insurance plus a slight increase after 3 months of good performance or evaluation.

I am a registered nurse myself in our country but sad to say employment for us is very low here. So what do CNA's do in your country? Where are you from anyway?

I am from Philippines living in Hawaii and work as a CNA here before. Cna's here have good pay according but it depends on the facility you are working. I was paid for $13 an hour with medical insurance and other benefits.

I first applied for Clinical assistant because I have no trainings yet, then the facility offered CNA free course for there employees and $1,200 for non employee. Most of my classmates where nursing graduate in the Phils (Ilocanos).
