As per Rasmussen Poll.... The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19. Today is the second straight day that Obama’s Approval Index rating has fallen to a new low. Prior to the past two days, the Approval Index had never fallen below -15 during Obama’s time in office (see trends). Do you think that America has finally wakened up and have gone past his his suave, oily, insincere image and finally realize he spells doom for our country? http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

I see a lot of poll discussions on here lately. My take...it's too early in the game...the country was in deep trouble when Obama too office and we're working our way out of it but it is taking time. Speaking of polls, I've participated in three telephone polls in the past couple of months for CBS news. So, every time you see Katie Couric cite a poll you can rest assured that some of the opinions expressed were by lil ole me!

"My take...it's too early in the game" Those who understand numbers, know it is not too early in the game to denounce 0bama as a liar and that 0bama is bad for the country. What numbers? Consider the national debt! To those who think Bush's deficits were too large, you are right. Even 0bama pointed out that Bush spent too much. So, what did 0bama do? Spend even more. MUCH MUCH MORE! 0bama is gettting away with this as most have not studied the economics of huge government deficits and do not have the ability to conceptualize just how large of an amount of money 0bama has spent. The result of this is enevitablly going to be the massive devaluation of the US DOLLAR. 0bama's deficits are destroying the US DOLLAR. Those who think it is too soon to judge 0bama do not understand how government spending prolonged the great depression and probably helped cause WWII. It is not too early in the game to denounce 0bama's irresponsible fiscal policy.

Of course, the debt would not just go away. We are talking here about the rate of increase, not the overall debt. Under 0bama, the debt is increasing much faster than it did under Bush. Here's an appropiate analolgy. Imagine Bush was driving a car towards a cliff at 80 miles an hour with the cliff about 800 miles away. That would leave us 10 hours before plunging over the cliff to our doom. Then, at the behest of the American people, 0bama takes the steering wheel away from Bush, while maintaining the same course towards the cliff, but increases the speed to 400 miles per hour. This is almost exactly what has happened in real terms. Now, this is not to say I think Bush was a great President. Bush was a bad President with 0bama being even worse. Both were/are driving us towards a cliff, only at different speeds.

Everyone has their own opinion, my big dog, and just because we might not agree does not mean that I have no understanding of numbers or economics. You agree that the national debt was too large yet did you expect it to just magically go away? I stand by my opinion that it's too early in the game.

Yeah, it's really a lot worse then that when you compare with other presidencies at this time in their first terms. Rasmussen is the only poll I trust as they progressively show they are trustworthy. They really spell out how they conduct the polls, they get ignored and ridiculed by the left when the data is negative for their side and they just love bringing it up when their is a republican in office. The thing is if you watched the polling I saw how the trend of Obamas policies he supported were less popular than him and it is not surprising that his personal approval rating is dropping. The fact of the matter is that a lot of people blindly trust in this man who speaks like he's going to take such good care of the poor and sick. The fact is the bills coming out signed by his hand are only hurting them more. Obama has already stated he doesn't care if he's a one term president as long as he passes what he wants passed. He knows that the American majority do not agree... the hope in the change Obama promised is dwindling. Hillary may be the nominee next election.

I would never vote for Hillary due to my experience with her as my senator in New York however, I would have preferred her over Obama, and Bill in the position his wife use to be in would have been a riot...lol.

Well I take that back, if there was a choice between Hillary and someone like Obama I would vote for Hillary. Sometimes you have to just vote for who you feel will do the least amount of damage.

I agree Rasmussen is IMO the only poll that I trust. It is so obvious just how all the Bamaloonies leap to discredit the source on anything unflattering to their adored one. It must be because they know they cannot dispute the truth about Obama. Just another cop-out. I would have voted for Hilary last time and was shocked when Obama with his murky background was shoved in my face.

When the economy hits rock bottom and no-one can afford to pay their bills if the day comes their car gets repossessed I bet they will still have all the "I Love Obama" stickers on it!!

I really don't put too much stock in daily polls and I REALLY don't put much stock in Rasmussen, especially since they showed the one on Fox the other day regarding climate change that added up to 120%. However, just giving this poll the benefit of the doubt and taking their word for it, I still don't think it means much at all at this point. A lot could change, and I'll concede it could go either way, between now and 2012 and even between now and next November's elections. In these kinds of daily polls, where only a relatively small number of people are questioned each day, there are probably as many reasons the respondents answer as they do as there are respondents. Some will say they "strongly disapprove" of Obama because they think he's too liberal and some will say it's because he's moved too far to the right; some will say it's because he's pushing for health care reform and others will say he isn't pushing hard enough; some will say he's too hawkish and some will say he's "appeasing our enemies". And then there are those who simply don't like HIM and feel, no matter what he does, that "he spells doom for our country". I think some people expected "instant gratification" which never happens. There are signs that the economy is recovering according to most economists. "Technically" the recession is over. However, that doesn't mean much to the 10% of Americans who are unemployed nor does the fact that unemployment is usually the last thing to improve at the end of a recession. The fact remains that we went from 700,000 plus jobs being lost to 11,000. Without the stimulus there would have been many more jobs lost. I know that to be a fact in my own state. Annie

You didn't look very hard if you couldn't find a Rasmussen poll on climate change, Taskr! You can see it here:http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/business/econ_survey_toplines/december_2009/toplines_climate_change_december_1_2_2009 Here's the actual question and results: 3* In order to support their own theories and beliefs about global warming, how likely is it that some scientists have falsified research data? 35% Very likely 24% Somewhat likely 21% Not very likely 5% Not at all likely 15% Not sure As it turns out, it was Fox News that manipulated the poll to show on the screen. They added the "Very likely" and "Somewhat likely" together to come up with 59%, which they put in the "Very likely" column. They then used 35% for "Somewhat likely" and dropped the "Not sure". This is what their graphic looked like: 59% Very likely 35% Somewhat likely 21% Not very likely 5% Not at all likely According to the math I learned, that adds up to 120%! Annie

"I really don't put too much stock in daily polls and I REALLY don't put much stock in Rasmussen, especially since they showed the one on Fox the other day regarding climate change that added up to 120%." Which poll was that? I checked Rasmussenreports.com and couldn't find any "climate change" poll. The only thing even remotely similar I could find was this. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/environment_energy/53_say_epa_should_not_regulate_greenhouse_gases_without_congress_ok Clearly their numbers do not add up to 120%. "Technically" the recession is over." One "less bad" month doesn't mean the recession is over. Businesses are running out of people to fire and Every business hires extra people to deal with the Christmas season. In February we'll be able to make a more realistic analysis.

So sorry, I have not kept up, been a little busy. I just had an argument with a woman--I think it was a woman, defending our president-------- I think I told her pretty well what I've read here, but hope she reads this post. Her arguments for this walking, talking idiot were quite weak and proved she's been Obamaized--- and in answer to your question, yes, I think most of America is waking up to the fact Obama is putting the US in its grave as far as a nation goes. Doom? What a good word for us if he continues. But, thanks for allowing me to get caught up !! I'll do better next time when I haven't been so busy. hugs, quita

He started at 42% strongly approve and dropped down to 21% in just under a year so perhaps (hopefully) next year he will drop to 50%.

I heard about this poll, and I think they are on the ball. But eve if 42 percent say that Obama is wrong, there are still the others that felt Obama was America's gift to mankind because of his looks and his far left democratic views and he will give them what they want. Now if you can only convince them that me me does not always work, then things will get better.
