If given the chance to change your skin color, what would it be and why?

Some people are not satisfied on their colors, they use modern technologies and medecines to get what they are aspiring to become. For me I am satisfied on who i am now, but if given a chance to try the difference, I would choose to become black, but with a white heart.

What an interesting question!
I am white (as seen from my picture, haha), pasty white. If given the chance for a little while to change my skin color, I would love to be black for awhile. Why? Because as a white woman, I haven't been viewed in society as a minority. I have not had the chance to see firsthand how prejudice and even racism affects those in the minority. I honestly think that it would be great for every person of every race to experience a day in the life of another culture...if only to gain an understanding and a respect for those who are different.
Of course, being white as well is no immunity from racism. I've been the victim of racism quite a few times before. But also as a white person, I've been able to witness third handedly racism toward other people...and cannot imagine what life would be like to be black, or Middle-Eastern, or Native American where I would have to endure such treatment everyday, and personally.
Thinking about it even more now, I'd either want to be black or Middle-Eastern in present society. Either race is nearly always under the spotlight right now.

hi denverLC no I like my American white skin but I would like to not look so pale. you see I am anemic and have a low redblood cell count, and it makes me look very pale so would love a bit of roses in my cheeks at least. I have lost my Ca tan as have been inside too much lately. But why do some filipinos want pale skin, I have always thought they looked lovely with their tan skin and dark hair, those things belong together. just as my pale skin and blue green eyes and white hair belong together too. we should all be proud of our inheritances and not want to be like someone else.

Hi denverLC,Well, my skin color is fair. I am happy and contented of my skin color as of now,but if given a chance to try i would rather change it into a whiter skin,to look young at my age. Maybe whiter skin can help me to look young and be more confident...Thanks,Good day!

I have a wheat complexion.I would have been happier if it was slightly lighter than what it is now as I notice people admire those with a lighter skin though late in my life now (lol)!!1 person likes this
