Less work in December

I always like December, as there is usually less urgent projects going on or due, as it’s end of the year, most people will start to go on leave or enjoy the holiday, and thus most of the projects will need to be completed before December. Besides our own annual leaves, there are many public holidays in December, we just need to work 4 days a week, as there’s a day off in almost every week. Hence, December is always a happy month! How about you? Do you have lots of work to do in December? Or does your December like mine, less work, less stress and more holidays?

No its the same with us .Its always a "go slow" time in december. Most persons are on leave ,in fact our offices are almost empty except for a few faithfull troopers .We will be getting paid this week and I am sure that many persons will be gearing up to do somne early shopping.Come next week and it will be almost like a holiday because we will get let off early for some shopping .Christmas eve ,we will be getting off early

For me, the less work part causes a lot of stress and grief with me. The lesser work during holidays is good if paid. However, our company is imposing an open leave policy due to the down time in our company. It means more vacation time, but unpaid for probationary employees like me. Ouch.

I don't work outside the home but december is a crazy month for the housewife.Present buying.organising who's going were for dinner.Who gets along and who does not.Baking and cooking filling up the freezer with goodies.Cleaning the house for visitors.Plus all the normal things like washing and ironing ect.My husband drives for a major supermarket so he is flat out as well.We don't get any other holidays in december ,we are lucky to get christmas day off over here.It is manic but fun it sounds so laid back where you are.Have a merry christmas and enjoy your extra free time you lucky thing.

I work in a 24 hour call center in the fraud department. This is the busiest time of the year for us as we follow the retail trends so no xmas sucks at work for me, but the overtime and pay is good though.

yes december is a lull period. there are various people and bosses on leave so things slow down considerably, and sometimes grind to a halt! of course there are days when certain issues crop up and there is work to do, but these days are few and far between in december. which is why there is more time to mylot haha!

I haven't had a job in two years until this I just recently procured. I work only five days a week, so that I have the weekends off. I have to do the same set things on a give day. That it to say that I may need to mop one day but vacumn the next, lol. I work for a company that helps the elderly, and I actually sit with family so it's a more comfortable arrangement and I feel more at ease with cleaning the person's home and interacting with said person.

I work from my own home as a writer, so the work stays about the same, but I do take an extra day most holiday times. I'm happy for you that you have this at your place of work and can better enjoy and prepare for the holidays! Karen

Four days a week? That's almost a big dream for me. Now I am off every day because I quit my job. To be exact, I abandoned my first 9 days' salary for freedom and a peaceful heart. Usually, people are busier at the end of the year, busying gathering money for a holiday season.

It the other way around. December is where the bulk of work in my company comes around. Meeting the year end deadlines, year end backlogs, and planning for the next years strategy. The parties, awards nights, bonuses are just adding the spices for it. But the real stuffs comes during December for me.

After reading all the discussions,I feel I'm the poorest person.I have a lot work to do and it haven't snowed yet.A winter without snow is also poor. I like snow.

Well, I don't have any less work in December and I'm running around trying to get my work done, my family dealt with and seeing to it that the roomie gets to her family too. I don't get holidays - unless they land on my day off - like that helps any... so I will be working Christmas, tho some of my job won't be there like getting the mail.

I always love December because it seems the surrounding is full of happiness, joy and peace and there's always so much gatherings and food.hehe Well, I am very fortunate that I am working in a University because after school days in December we have to take vacation too just like students and the days are not charge in our vacation leave, it is purely vacation granted by the school. This December our classes will end up on the 18th day of December and the remaining days of December are already our vacation.wohoooo!

i work in the parks for the summer. i tend to use my umenployment claim and do things i couoldn't do throughtout the summer fun, cause i worked it, and have fun with fall festivitires and winter carnivals. i also train and fitness throught out the winter. But, reall i find winter allows time to get togehther and share want we have done or accomplished all year. Get close and make close.
