Thinkers are normally called by the name Philosophers. Philosophers are basically and necessarily thinkers. They propound various ideas and dogmas centering around which there are many systems built across the world. These thinkers provide certain laws that run uniformly throughout this world. One has to certainly bow down to these thinkers.

Philosophy is only one form of thinking, and a particularly formalised and often pretentious form at that. Many of the major philosophers are worth respect: but many others are worthy of nothing but (amused) contempt or condemnation. In your terms, Hitler's "Mein Kampf" is a form of philosophy = thinking. Thinking to me simply means considering as many aspects of whatever issue one is dealing with and trying to merge the results of that thinking with one's personal morality and ethics. Lash

Philosophers are thinkers. Philosophy, by which one could mean formation of ideas that are closely coupled does need thinking as a precondition. But all thinkers need not be philosophers. That is because even say political strategy needs thinking, but it is necessary that the strategist who does this is necessarily capable of producing thinking. At the same time it is possible that great philosophers are quite impractical people.
