How do you feel about the road workers(ie Road commission/city workers)

Where I live there are always people complaining about the road workers. They complain they dont do enough, they complain they are to slow, they complain they get paid too much. I personally think our road workers here do just fine. Yeah every once in awhile I get stuck in traffic while they are filling potholes, but at least they are filling them right? I was just wondering what your thoughts are on your road crews in your neck of the woods.
