have you noticed any changes of the weather in your place? comparing it from last year. how about the other year? it's kind of threatening to me finding that the weather is changing in its time of coming, duration, and if i may say, its consistency of keeping its temperature. i have been in egypt since last quarter of 2007 and i can compare its climate from that time and 2008 as well as 2009. i arrived month of october in 2007 and it was already cold. came 2008, winter arrived in November, then this year 2009, it came by December. and this time, it comes with 2 days all cold, and then the next day just a little cold. i just can't adjust to it as i always get cold and flu from these changes. or should i say i now have some kind of allergy? but it scares me somehow, what is happening to egypt... or to the world?

What is happening in Egypt, as well as in the rest of the world, are normal global climate events. I live in the U.S., in south Florida, and our weather has been a little bit cooler this year than in years past. Is this due to global warming? Then it should be hotter here. I've been through several hurricane seasons here. Are they getting worse? No, this past one was the least active since I've been here because other things that effect the weather have been in play and have kept the big storms out at sea.

I was thinking that too...I don't know, I hear from some that the scientists know what they're talking about and that they have solid evidence. Then I hear from others that the scientists in essence made up the data (or picked the data) that would fit their hypothesis. When it's colder than it usually is, like it is where I'm at - which one am I going to believe? The latter. What do you think?

To be fair, ANYTHING can be describe as a "normal global climate event." I am a person that always makes the arguments that since humans are part of nature what we do is henceforth natural, but I digress. Further to say that it's colder for this one year doesn't prove anything. It's too small of a sample size. The more data, the better. As with a lot of observational science, there will always be data points that fall outside the expected variance, because there are just so many variables--it's hard to have a control. For instance, in college we did an experiment where we looked at people's weight vs. calorie intake, but you know what threw it off? A heavy woman in the class was on a diet and seriously working to cut her calorie intake--her plot point on the graph was totally off.

so all these things if we want more data but we just can't help get it everywhere, yet there will be factors that destroy the several strong bases like the fat woman on diet, do we still have to prove that there is something wrong going on? and if we find that something, are we going to find someone to blame? is it wrong or is it nature? i apologize about my statements. i just can't rephrase it to be a little lighter in its delivery. i didn't mean any insults or whatsoever.

yes of course .the weather in my city have changed significantly.. i'm afraid of this changing ,the phenomenon makes us feel unsafe,i'm afraid 2012 is coming to us.i know this film is just a film but it's also on the base of science. i'm sure that weather changed because of our weak belief on protecting our earth. a decade ago it snowed every winter but now i can hardly see snow in winter. in all our surroundings is unsafe

i can relate your idea with the movie "tsunami". it scares me actually. but i am keeping my faith and doing my own small contribution not to worsen this global warming thing. snows, i remember last 2007 i think it was reported on the news that utah did not have any snow in one of its skiing places. i don't exactly recall though. correct me if i'm wrong.

utah? sorry i don't know whether it snowed in utah in 2007. i just know that in 2008 it snowed hardly in south areas of china. but it's not normally, it's a disaster... it's a significant weather disaster because of poor environment

i think you are cool joro1best. i hope you still find ways to enjoy what we currently have. coz you are cool. somebody noted to me that 20 or 30 years ago, egypt used to have snow. but now, i can count not snow but the rain frequency with not more than the fingers of my one hand in a year. by the way, last year, i still heard some soft thunders over us, but this year, never.

Yes I have always noticed the weather changes! I'm living in Chongqing China! It's very cold living in South China when it is in winter! Last year the temperature in Chongqing is very low and it's nearly frozen!!!But this year, it's warmer obviously! I don't have to wear too much!Haha I don't care too much about global warming! I think its effect is little and do not the temperature will not change much in decades!!! Do you think so?

Well, if I have to compare the weather today with the weather last year there is not a bog change, however if I compare it with some 5 years ago, I figured it out last year, the weather had great changes. Here Summers now or way hotter than usual and winters are way colder. And the most irritating thing is that the Autumn and Spring last less every other year. It kind of feels like they are not there at all. It is summer until november and it suddently is winter. Samo goes with spring.

at least i enjoyed the sunny season this year here in egypt. i did have a hard time last year's summer. it was so hot that i felt like i had a fever. i couldn't sleep until i put a wet towel over my chest and forehead. but this year, it's fine.

Well I have.Normally in the is time of the year we would be extremely cool but now we arent as cool as we normally would be even our air conditioning is not working .In addition,we would normally be getting some rain but that has not been forthcoming ,in fact we have been getting only light squalls which is quite the opposite to the heavy downpour known for theseason

I have found this year to be especially cold. It seemed as if the summer was cool and when fall began it was chilly right away. In fact I have noticed that the last couple of years have been colder than usual. It seemed we had a long period of time when it wasn't that cold in New York City. I didn't really need boots but now I couldn't imagine trying to get by this year without them. I'm sure we're going to have a lot of snow this year.

Hi! 3 days ago it snowed, but now it's raining. Out is awful, because all is just mud and dirty. I like the rain, not so much, but snow I like very, very much. And now I'm a little bit sad, because of the rain, that thaw the snow

Ok! The weather in my place is a little humid! Though not warm, it is better during the day! But now that its evening, the wind has started to blow and the weather seems to be chilling! Wait I need to get A jacket! Thats the expression that just came into my mind! There is mist everywhere i can see up to! So I think I am clear here!

It is not very cold today though the temperature is 1 to 7 degrees centigrade with rain. The best part of the weather today is that it is not windy. Otherwise it would be very cold outside as well as inside.

The weather has been cool and soothing today, just the kind everyone wishes to live in. Oh wait, I have my fan switched on and I mistook it for the natural one. It looks sunny out there, although not hot, but warm it seems to be.

Today,It is raining in Shanghai China,But I need to go out in the early morning, for my laptop does not work; And I came back just now, then I can surf on line as usual. This is first time for me to stay in Shanghai, and I come to realize that so many rains in Shanghai just like so many snow in Northeast of China.Surely,There is change about our climate, and we need do more to protect our climate,to prevent the temprature to increase. For comman people,I think it is good to plant more trees and save our water.

Yeah I have notice the change of weather every year. I live in a tropical country that on has two season, rainy and summer. In December, it is suppose to be cold but yesterday weather was very hot. Now it's change drastically into a colder temperature. That is why during this season, there are lots of people who gets sick in my country because of the change of weather.

The weather where I live is a little bit colder this year then it was last year. We get snow sometimes at the end of October and in November and some in December but usually it warms up enough to melt it but the snow we got about a week and a half ago is still on the ground it has been very cold here.
