For all the aspiring computer technologists and computer enthusiasts it will be nice and most welcome if the computers cost a little less. The cost of the computers and laptops are sometimes felt as sky high by the people who belong to the middle class income group. Therefore as the price of television has come down if the prices of computers also come down it will be good.

Well, your statement is not quite right. Nowadays computer and laptop are not categorized as expensive things anymore as they are almost become our primary needs now. For example, for 50$ you can get a second hand computer in Indonesia (PIII 800MHz - capable enough to do office work like word and excel!), and also laptop cost varies between 180$-600$++. Hence, many computer and laptop now are affordable by mid-class in the society. Your statement will be correct if we are relatively talk about the meaning of "expensive", because the meaning of "expensive" is vary for each people.

I agree with you and also it will depend on what use for.. for gaming, work processing, development, browsing.. It will depend on use. Ofcourse it will be expensive if you have like to have those features, especially in gaming, you will need to invest in Video card, and a larger LCD.

The price of computers have come down quite a bit! In 1995, we bought a brand new Acer system with 1 G hard drive, a 16.6 modem and a printer, for only $2000.00 Today, if you could even find that wimpy of a system, you could buy it for the most, one tenth that price. You can buy a computer right now that has 5 to 10 times the computing power for less than $500. That's quite a drop in price! And I suspect they'll continue to drop as time goes by, but how cheap can we really expect them to go, though?

There are computers that is cheap also there are computer that is so expensive. The price vary on what features do they have, what kind of technology did they use in making those computers. Ofcourse a branded computer is more expensive than a generic computer. You can afford computer as low as $200 to $300 dollars. Desktop or Laptops.

well be great if they did, but to be honest pc's and laptops are way down in price anyhow I replace my pc and laptop every year, few years back was costing me about £800 for a laptop and about £1000 for a desktop. Now I got decent pc's and laptops for about £800 for both machines.
