Yes, I have a couple of methods that tend to work for me! I love reading and I also love listening to my favourite music. In the mornings when I first wake up I sit at my computer and listen to relaxing music whilst I am doing other stuff on the computer including posting in My Lot! I don't know the science behind it but I know that music does affect our bodies in a profound way and it can be very uplifting at times! As mentioned, I love reading and I just love to escape into a good book and it takes me away from reality for a while! I used to try and meditate and just sat there in silence but I gave up on this as I found it quite laborious at times. Anyway, there are lots of different things that you can do in order to relax. My methods tend to work for me. Andrew

to relax, I like to play video games, when I am not taking care of my kids. I try to get into character while I am playing. there really isn't much that I could do. maybe take a few deep breathes and walk away from or what ever it is that is getting me upset. other then that I try not to get so upset if I feel it coming I just go a relax a second.

I like to meditate when I am stressed out, I will sit in a quiet peaceful room and just close my eyes and feel peace. Other times I will settle down with a book and just lose myself in the story. I like to spend time with my family when I am tired out because there so easy to be around. Taking a nice bath is really nice when your tired, as it feels so good on your aches and pains. When I am really tired I will take a cat nap in a dark quiet room. My mom likes to put on sounds of the rain forest to relax, and it works really good to calm people down.

try to lay down and stare the ceiling... entertain all the thoughts you have in mind, one by one... until you get tired... then you will find yourself just staring a portion of your ceiling... with an empty thoughts! what i´m trying to say that that relaxation is mainly the mind power! you want to relax bcoz you are tired, physically & mentally. but reality is its your mind that is making you tired. Its the one who signals your body that you are tired. So to relax is to clear out your scattered thoughts :)

I find yoga to be very relaxing. Sometimes when I have the video on I turn the volume down and put on some relaxing music like something with cellos. Things that make me relaxed and I really enjoy it.

why don't you try watching a movie? but if you mean to make relaxation activities while you are alone, consider this. go to your garden or a silent place and clean. with good air current and meditate. try closing your eyes. think of nothing but trying to feel your body. breath deeply and slowly blowing after. tensing your muscles of each body region at a time and then releasing them slowly as you combine with your breathing pattern. starting from your neck muscles, then shoulders, than arms and so on. maybe this will take not less than 10 minutes. after that, you may want to enjoy sipping a cup of hot chocolate or best, tea - any kind of tea may do. mix a teaspoon of sugar or honey in it and you will enjoy best. hope you'll find it good.

Hi OYGAK2005! Nothing really special. I just listen to good music. If I am in a place close to the beach, I just look for a good place to stay like a hammock then rest there. Going to the spa can also be relaxing.

hi,see amd try these steps---------- Step 1 Place yourself somewhere that you enjoy. If you can’t do this physically, you must learn to do this mentally. Become a student. Study yourself. Learn what triggers your stress. Step 2 Is there a way to eliminate the cause of your stress? If you can’t eliminate the cause, learn to prepare yourself before the event that causes your stress occurs. Sit or lie down. Close your eyes. Focus on keeping your breathing smooth and steady. Step 3 Relax your muscles. Start with your neck. Move your head gently from side to side. Let your arms hang at your side. Shake them gently as you begin to wiggle the fingers on your hands. Let your arms become heavy. Step 4 Stretch out and relax your legs. Imagine you’re in a fantasy place or vacation. Explore your fantasy with all your senses. Leave this place after you feel you’ve spent enough time there. Remember you can return anytime you wish. Step 5 Exercise is a great way to relieve stress and anxiety. Run, jog, walk or hit the heavy bag at the gym. As you continue to exercise, slowly begin to let go of your stress, focus more on your exercise form and technique. Step 6 Get enough sleep; it’s how we rejuvenate our mind and body. The quality of sleep is also critical. If you keep waking up during the night, you’re not getting enough sleep. Eliminate things from your room that may be disturbing your sleep, turn off the television, radio and lights in the room. Step 7 See a medical professional. If you’ve tried everything and nothing is working, going to counseling may help. If you can’t let go of feelings of anger, depression or anxiety these are signs you should seek counseling. http://www.ehow.com/how_5493355_pick-relaxation-method-stress-tiredness.html Have a nice time.

If you want to be totally relaxed, begin thinking about yoga and meditation. When the two are combined with relaxation music, you can't help but feel at ease.

i do not have very good methods for relaxation also but what i did always that's just have a walk outside and long distance walk will make us cool down and look at the bright side finally.if just for physcially relax i'd suggest you to have a hot water bath then lying down on the bed. read some book and have a good sleep then.

If you can find a hobby or activity that you like doing that you have fun with then this can help you relax by taking your mind off of your problems and concentrating on the activity at hand. I used to love to go fishing and I still do I just can't go as much as I like anymore. You would think that fishing would give you too much time to think about your problems but it's not like that for the people that like fishing. I also like bowling although I hardly ever go. I like to go with friends but nobody has the time anymore. I don't know if you are suffering from normal stress or if you are having a real problem. If you are having shortness of breath and strong anxiety feeling then you should maybe consult a doctor. Otherwise I have found something that will work for you in the quiet times when you aren't physically doing anything and that is when your mind tends to think about all the bad things. Most of the time this happens when we are trying to go to sleep. All you need to do is think of a happy place and go there in your mind. I know it might sound a little stupid but it isn't and nobody will know but you anyway. Just think of a place or a time that really makes you happy or comfortable and concentrate on that place and I assure you that it will relieve your stress. It is probably a little like meditation and it will sooth your thoughts and let you relax. You can try it if you like. I know that it works for me sometimes but I think that to be truly happy you have to be loved by someone and share that love. To know and understand yourself and the world around you and learn to be at peace with it. Then you will find true peacefulness and tranquility.

If it is physical tiredness, not too much helps but rest. But for emotional tiredness, a walk can be ideal or for me, meditation helps, or writing about things that are on my mind, a chat with a good friend...things like this. Or just getting out and away for a cup of coffee or lunch can help, too. Good luck! Karen

when i'm tired, listening to musics is one of the way. but i think there are better ways. to rest or sleep well, it's a good way. but i think if the weather allowed, i think there is a best way, to climb hill until the sweat coming out. have a try.
