Do you think this movie deserves a re-release??That it would be more relevant today with all the talks about environmentalism up in the air or do you think it was just as relevant then as well?? Whatever the case, my main question is do you think it deserves a re-release???

I'm not sure. There were parts of Ferngully that were good, but overall I think it was kinda bad as a movie. If it was re-made to clean it up, then maybe. I do think that it is still relevant today. The rain-forests are still being destroyed, and still need to be saved. It wouldn't be more relevant, but with the number of people who are environment conscious now it might reach a broader audience.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I don't think it should be re-made, but I just mean, like on Earth Day, if they would make a special release of it at theaters just for that day or that week.I think it's good at explaining environmental issues to children as well.

It might be good for a weekend re-release, but like I said... I thought it was kinda bad. It gets some of the environmental issues across to kids, but there's a pretty bad fact-error in it that always bothered me. Ferngully is in trouble because of the logging industry, but in reality many rain-forests are cut down to provide fertile land for raising cows. I think I would enjoy it better if they got that part right, but I suppose it is a good start for kids.

I have never actually seen this movie but know what it's about. My boyfriend likes it. He said it's a cute movie with a good lesson, so sure it wuold be great to re-release it.
It's good for children especially to know the impact things have on the environment, because they are the ones who will be responsible and they are also very impressionable.
