He left in the 90s and came back near the 21st century and as we approach 2010, John Frusciante is out of Red Hot Chili Peppers again. Do you think he will be ok this time around? Or should he have a chat with Dave Navarro? I think he has one of the awesome voices ever and though he says he's been clean for some time now, I hope this was a well thought out decision. Talk to me folks!

Well as john frusciante is a great musician he does need freedom in his creativity and hopefully he quit because he wanted to do more stuff by himself. I sincerely hope he does not go down the road he took last time but i think he is a changed man and won't have a problem staying clean.

It's really a shame he left. I think he really was great with RHCP, they just fit together and are the best together as a band. But it's his choice and we have to respect it. He still is my favourite guitarist but I think Josh Klinghoffer is the best they could've "replaced" him with, he fits right in RHCP as well. Maybe not as outstanding as John Frusciante, but he's a damn fine guitarist!

Hi Web Haha, I just left a comment about the new CD. I've got nothing against Josh especially when you consider all the greats he's worked with (i.e. Beck. Not into this one though.

I agree with previous responder. Chillies are not the same without John anymore. John has a great voice and his unique style for playing guitar. New guitarist will mean a new guitar lines in their songs, which will surely differ from John's. I don't think that a new guitarist will be able to replace the backing vocals that John added to the RHCP songs. The news about John leaving the band made me really sad, Chillies won't be the same again. I think it's permanent.

I kind of agree that some songs have John's footprint on it and to even try to duplicate would be a serious offense.

I'm also unhappy about it. Actually he is focusing on his solo career. He is my greatest influence. But Red Hot Chili Peppers are not red hots! without John Frusciante and I don't think Dave Navarro will be the replacement. But I am happy about the fact that he's clean. I also liked their late guitarist Hillel Slovak!

:( Never been to a RHCP concert but when I saw that Fuse special a few yrs back, I got chills when John did the 'How Deep is Your Love' cover. Navarro has taken a serious nose dive career-wise. Obviously, he's a very in-demand session guitarist but I know he will never be invited back to RHCP. One, he implied on some VH1 special that Anthony and Flea were gay based on that kiss they did at the end of a video. Then maybe about 5 yrs after leaving RHCP, he was at the grand opening ceremony for a Target store in Hollywood. Not a Super Target or anything special. And must we mention the Gong Show from last year? That's when I just shook my head.
