It has been cold all day we worked on the house for the last couple of days. You know the stupid stuff we all put off till there is nothing else that we want to do. We put in carpet one day and that involved moving so much furniture and other stuff. Wore me out by the end of that day. Then cleaning up some rooms we had put off cleaning and moving stuff around that is out of site out of mind. Today I was so bored I labeled our VCR movies. We built shelves the other day and they are already filled up. Seems like we just don't have enough room for the things we have. So how has the weather been treating all of you? What about those gloomy days what do you do to entertain yourself? Do you get into straightening out those forgotten rooms? The garage? Do you do something productive when you have those days you can't get outside?

Hi Cher. We have plenty to do in the house but some of it just isn't what we want to get into. So it gets a little boring. Like I told Book I had to get into the snow and I hate the cold. At least you got some TV to watch, we have seen the same movies several dozen times, now the TV won't pick up anything cause of this snow. I did manage to get most of my crafts in the house though. So I will stay busy for a bit.

I actually don't consider re-organizing rooms and closets as boring. I pretty much enjoy those kinds of activities, I guess it's a girl thing (I mean... I assume you're a guy based on your screen name!)
Boring days are mostly days when everything is all sorted out and there's no reason to go out and spend money when you won't be doing it with a friend anyway. Then I'm stuck at home, flipping through the television channels to past the time.
Non-boring days would be in the same situation with a good book at hand :)

No not a guy.My husband still gets on here when he wants to talk to others and learn their input. My husband started this site because
of a friend of ours. She told us about this site and
thought it would be a way to earn a little bit.
No I am a tomboy though. Had more brothers then
sisters and hung out with the boys. I learned how to
change an oil filter before I learned to sew....LOL
I do love to do some girly things but mostly I love
building things. I wanted to learn how to sew because
I like to make clothing that I really like. But I also
was taught how to be a carpenter because I love
to build things the way I like them. Our home was
preowned and needs a lot of work but that is the
whole fun of it. But we have 3 things that we need
to fix as we go. We have a large home that needs
a roof, then we have a garage that needs work
inside and outside too, then we have a mobile
home we are living in while we get the other buildings
fixed too. We are doing all the work ourselves.
We are both carpenters. We both had just gotten
out of brelationships and both of us have quite a lot
of stuff. So the only safe place to put some of the
stuff we have is in the mobile we live in. We had been
trying to move things around and fix this home up
while we are living in it. We just got carpet to
put down in two rooms and things had to be moved
and both of us was sore from all the moving. We
just didn't feel like doing much yesterday so we
got bored. We couldn't go outside and work too
cold.
