Mommy Milestones

This morning my best friend and I were discussing those moments in our lives when it struck us hard that we were definitely moms now. You know those moments that make you stop for a moment and really see the mother that you are. I was hoping myLot moms' would share some of their Mommy Milestones with me. I think my very first Mommy Milestone was when my son was about six or seven months old. We were driving home in a snow storm and I hit a patch of black ice. My SUV spun around twice and we bounced off a guard rail. I had never been so frightened in my life. Inside it felt like my heart had stopped but I heard myself say in the calmest voice I've ever mustered, "It's okay baby, isn't this fun, we'll be okay honey." We were both fine but the way I was able to be so frightened on the inside but calm and collected on the outside - for the sake of my son - just amazed me. So what are some of your Mommy Milestones?

I think for me it was when our oldest started preschool. I was a stay at home mom and then I had to take her to preschool and drop her off each day and say goodbye. She walked right in and went over with the other kids. I think I was more nervous and teary eyed then she was lol.
