I live in the UK and I am taking driving lessons. I have passed my theory test and hazard perception test. I have failed my practical test and it was really difficult. I wish I could pass a driving test in a country where the test is not as challenging. Is it possible for a foreigner to take a driving test in the USA? Many thanks for this interesting discussion.

Any body can take the test in the USA but he has to have his Green Card in order to do that....But for MOST states you have to have the 40hrs driver education, either practically or Virtually!

Unfortunately I don't have a Green Card. I have heard of a Green Card lottery but people from the UK are not allowed to enter. I once met an Irish lady that had won a Green Card. She was incredibly lucky.
