hi didi. honestly i cant cry and nothing can force me for tears. i dont know when i cried for last time. anyway once i read a novel in my language. the english term of that novel would be THE COUNTRY OF ANURADHA. anuradha is the name of a girl. i found some similarities there with my life and it influenced me to write my second novel of life. TOUCH OF LOVE...... the story of that novel was about love and sacrifice and i borrowed this motto for my love and i established the same theme in my novel with a separate story. thanks.

yes, there are several bookes strike a strong chord with me. As I don't have many experience, actually there are more books treasured by me, which lead me to a completely different life, but the feeling is so true that I felt ever experienced. The first book lead me to that feeling is "Gone with the Wind", secondly "the Thorn Bird". Probably, I will never have the chance to experience their life in the books, but I do have the chance to be in need of the guts, the passion, the attitude to face my life. yes, I believe, "Reading good books can elevate the mind". Unfortunately, I have spent few time on reading in recent years. Thanks Jaiho2009, your topic kind of wakes me up!

The topic literally reminds me of the song killing me softly. Lines of the song goes singing my life with his words, telling my whole life with his words. The person recognize the story of her life narrating by someone else.

The only book I can remember now is "Autobiography of a Yogi". When I read that book, I could so well connect with the life of Sri Paramahansa Yogananda. Every word he spoke, every philosophy and every mystical experience, I felt as if it was happening with me. When I read through it, I felt I was reading my story, and the very nature of the mystic is none but me. But on the other side, there have been many books which I can't remember now certainly, which have been close to events of my life and I have been disturbed emotionally by it. Many sudden experiences through reading make me realize, "Oh my God, I had the same experience. So that's what it meant." After reading, I get a lot of answers to experiences which I haven't know why they occurred.

I also had same feeling when i am reading a book that i felt i am one of the main character, and even after reading it,the feeling is still there. And,sometimes some stories makes me disturb too...thinking some incidents about it...like what if the story goes this way instead of that way...which could have a better result, something like that. And if it is something related to my life, suddenly makes me realized some answers too. Reading books and watching movies(true to life story one)give us realization about life of other people, and even give us clearer meaning of our own life. thanks for your response and have a nice day always

frankly no, i still haven`t come across any book that even faintly resembles my own life. The books that i read nowadays are mainly of a spiritual nature and which are uplifting for the soul. I have stopped reading novels, bestsellers etc since over 30 years ago and when i was reading that stuff it was mostly comics, cowboy Westerns and other books of different varieties. Now i have totally stopped reading such stuff.

That sounds like the plot of the movie The Number 23. The main character played by Jim Carey reads a book which he finds sounds eerily like his own life. the characters become obessed with the signifigance of the number 23 throughout both their lives.

i haven't watch that movie, but,it seems so. It really sounds eerie when we can encounter like that, reading a book that tells our story. if ever chances will happen,i will contact the author and ask how he was able to write my life, how did he/she ever get the idea...maybe in dreams...or whatever(whooo...exciting but scary huh) thanks for your response and have a good day always

we always felt like that, and even get carried by the character,as if it's really us. Reading books that reflecting our own life sometimes give us some realization for many things ...bring the past of sad and happy moments of our lives. It is worth remembering some events in our life, esp when the book we are reading is as almost similar with our own. thanks and have a good day always

Yes, I am a total bookworm, and I've read a couple books that really related to me. I think everyone can relate to literary characters in one way or another, because we're all human. w
