Scientology is a religion that says its a science, which also is based in a pyramid structure and has many famous members like John Travolta and Tom Cruise. They came under fire by a group of young internet activist who decided they had to do something to stop the practices of the "church" after some of their beliefs and practices came to light like the death of Lisa McPherson, the pressure they put on the government to receive tax exemption and the churches "fair game" practice designed by L.Ron Hubbard saying that "Individuals or groups who are "Fair Game" are judged to be a threat to the Church and, according to the policy, can be punished and harassed using any and all means possible", also the secret of the origins of the church which involves an alien named "Xenu" who imprisoned souls on earth. Also anyone who is a family member who is not in the church is not allowed to have contact to the people in the church. Scientology says they are just the same as any other religious organization and that its nothing more than a smear campaign by a group of internet terrorist for the purpose of damaging their good name just for fun. They also say that the group anonymous is nothing but a bunch of teen age hackers and shouldn't be taken serious. How much do you know about Scientology? Do you feel that its within the rights of citizens to protest practices of a religious group? Do you feel that anonymous is nothing more than cyber terrorist? Do you feel that this organization should have tax exemption? If you were to choose a side which side would you be on? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Scientology http://www.whyweprotest.net/en/ http://www.scientology.org/#/videos/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7EEOMbBIO8 http://www.youtube.com/user/churchofscientology?blend=1&ob=4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0ZFow_9vsg

scientology. what can i say? a religion based on a book written by a fiction writer. They're good people that mean well. They have some really good values, and things that I think are great teachings. Just people who are confused looking for the answers is all.

Snow white is when L. Ron's wife and some of his followers were arrested for destroying government papers that had negative material on Scientology.

I have to say Anonymous is right. A religion should be an unrestricted service of a superior being, or "God". The day a CULT that you have to pay thousands of dollars for to join becomes a religion, Is that day that "Xenu" comes down and smites us.

i would be on the side of anonymous- i doubt they're all teenagers either. i'm all for freedom of religion, but there's just something that strikes me as odd about scientologists.i actually ran into a bunch of hubbard.."adhereants" shall we say?in atlanta as far back as the mid 80's and thought they were strange then. pamplets and everything.

Thank you for your reply. I myself would have to side with anonymous on this issue. They seem to have done very well in protesting their points in a non-violent manner, which can be a difficult thing to do during picketing someone. Scientology seems to have backed down from their in your face and threatening attitudes during these protests. I think they have realized it makes them look bad in public opinion. They seem to be happy to treat people like crap behind closed doors for now.

I know enough about Scientology to know that they are all c*nts of the highest order. That's really all that needs to be said: their religion makes even less sense than, for example, X-tianity - and that's saying something! It's just a glorified cult for the insecure rich and the gullible poor. I pity Scientologists.

Thanks for your reply MJay101, I cant really say I am surprised about your reaction to Scientology considering some of the other things I have seen you post about other religions. You did however not say much about the organization of anonymous, well that is if you can call it an organization. Whats your take on their actions? Do you feel they have been in the standard use of free speech or do you feel its cyber terrorism?
