Best brand of hair straighteners/flat irons? In your opinion?

What kind of straightener do YOU use, if any, on your hair? Is it any good? How much did you pay for it and where did you get? And what's your favorite kind? What have you heard works the best? I'm a bit of a straight-hair-fiend if you ask me! I love it, how it looks, how it feels, and just the style in general seems really "in" right now, at least where I live and in my community. I personally have a Chi "ultra" but I'm not very happy with it. I expected so much more. I bought it probably about 8-9 months ago after giving up on my HotTools one (which was so beat up and hardly even warmed up anymore) - and so I splurged and spent $110 on the straightener I have now. If I knew it was barely going to get hot and it wouldn't work all that good, I wouldn't have invested in it. What about you? What kind do you use? Details please!

I have a Coriolis one that I bought in a mall for like $150 but you can get them on Ebay for way cheaper. It's OK, it definitely gets hot and it gets the kinks out. I would recommend it if you could get it for cheap but not for $150. My hairdresser friend uses a Chi and I don't know how she does it but she gets my hair insanely straight with that thing. Another friend of mine has a Solia and she seems to really like it, it definitely gets her hair straight and doesn't seem to do a lot of damage.
