Laser Hair Removal

Hi all! I have an appointment this Friday to get a free consult at Ideal Image. I want to get my legs the laser hair removal...I have other areas I'd like to do, but I want to start off with legs. That way I can see if I can handle the pain before I move on to more sensitive areas. PLUS I want to see how much it'll cost....I'm starting school and won't be working so that's a big issue!
SO I was just wondering if anyone has ever had it done (especially at an Ideal Image) and if there's anything you can share about your experience. Any other tips/facts are appreciated.

I actually read something about this recently. I remember it saying it was fairly expensive to do and I'm not sure it's permanent. It depends on the size of the area you want treated but for anything of any size, it can take several sessions with each session lasting a few hours and costing a few hundred dollars. You could end up spending a couple thousand dollars and it's not covered by any insurance. I believe it said it was relatively painless though, so that's one good thing. I got the impression it made more sense for smaller areas, like upper lip or bikini line, etc. but you've probably gotten all the answers by now. [;-)

It has cost me a couple thousand, and might cost me more after my last session...they sceduled me for 5 treatments and 4 touch ups if they are needed. And they have a lifetime guarantee so if hair ever does start growing back I can come in and get it taken care of.
It is not painless! lol. I might be more sensitive then other people but there were some parts of my legs that it hurt!! And my first treatment for both legs only took about 45 minutes, which was nice!

I get bad razor burn too, it sucks! My sister got her bikini line lasered, that'll be a lot cheaper if you could afford that. I don't know where you're from, but I found this place that does the laser treatment really cheap compared to other places.

If that still doesn't work for you, here is a product my sister bought for 'upkeep' that you may like. It's a lot cheaper and it's something I'm looking into.

Why? f you want to have less hair and less shaving, why not wax at home. It is fast and you can go a few months between waxings.

Because I can't go a few months after waxing....the most waxing gives me is a day or two. My hair grows really fast. Plus waxing hurts, and it just isn't worth it for such a short time!
And shaving really irritates my legs, every time. I have tried different razors, different ways to shave, different creams for my legs...and it never helps. Often times my legs also bleed after I shave...and my hair is growing back the next day!
So laser hair removal could really help me avoid all that pain

It's expensive, but if you don't want to be hairy, it's an option. Just don't do it on areas that are the latest fad to be hairless. It's forever. You can't change your mind when styles change.

This has nothing to do with fads...I don't care about fads. It has to go with what I want for myself, and what I like. :)
I know it's expensive, but I talked to one of the ladies at the location I'll be going to, and they are aware I'm starting school and have a budget, and they said they would work around that, and they have a monthly deal, my sister said this month is 50% off, but I'm not sure.

It is really expensive . I didn't really understand the pricing but I think in total I'm going to pay 3,000+. And it did hurt...lol. Some areas of my legs didn't hurt--but other parts, OMG! OW! lol. I didn't get numbing cream this time because my first treatment was spur of the moment. But for my next treatments I'll get numbing cream, hopefully that will help. It's going to take 5-9 treatments...I really hope it doesn't hurt that much each time!

lol. Only a few parts on my legs didn't hurt--but other parts...it was like I was being tortured! :P lol. And I wanted to give her the information, I just didn't know what it was!!!!! :P
BUT keep in mind...I am a baby when it comes to pain. My legs are super sensitive, and I was told different people experience different pain levels.

I don't really know anything about this at all. I have been really wanting to check into it myself though. I hate having to shave.
