Have you Ever Won Anything?

I don't typically consider myself to be an especially lucky person, but I have won things in my life from time to time. The first thing that I ever remember winning was 100 dollars on a scratch off lottery ticket. Then the most recent thing that I won was in June of 2008 when I won a HVAC system for our house from a local company. How about you, have you ever won anything? If you have, how did you feel about it and what was it? If you haven't please tell me, do you ever enter contests to try and win something?

I've won a few things here and there . . . but nothing "big". I love those scratch off lottery tickets, but I can't recall winning anything more than 5 bucks. The most recent "exciting" winning we've had was at the Kids Club at the mall. They had a drawing like they always did one day . . . and we thought we wouldn't win because we never do. Alas, they read off the numbers my daughter was holding, and we won a box of chocolate chip cookies from The San Francisco Cookie Company. Maybe that's not a big prize, but we were sure happy about it!

There is certainly no reason to not be happy about your daughter winning the box of cookies. Maybe she is going to be the lucky one in your family.

I've seen those rhinestone tattoo things that you are talking about. Those are pretty cool and my daughter always wants me to get one for her, but I don't because I know that she would ruin it in no time flat.

Maybe you're right! Before that she won something else at another Kids Club - it was one of those rhinestone type "tattoos" (it was some animal, I can't remember what though). In fact, she's always getting "something" everywhere she goes. I don't remember being so lucky as a kid!

For some weird reason I have never lost a scratch n win. I haven't ever won a huge amount but every single time I will win like 2 dollars, 5 dollars, 20 dollars, etc. I guess I am just lucky. Now that I have posted this I'm probably going to jinx my winning streak, but whatever. My Grandpa is even luckier then me, he won 100,000 in the lottery and bought a beautiful piece of property on Mable Lake in B.C. right next to Wayne Gretzkys piece of property. It was insane!

I hope that you didn't ruin your lucky streak. It sounds to me that luck just seems to run in your family.

yes I did, quite a lot of times. I am quite lucky in raffles. just a few days ago, I again won in a raffle during our Christmas party. I love winning in the raffles. I may not have won first or major prizes (I have won the first prize only once), yet I am so glad to win even if there are more than 20,000 tickets were raffled.

It is always exciting to win a prize of any sort. Sometimes we think that it means that we are coming into a period of good luck, and I too feel that way as well. There have been times where I have gone through small streaks where I will one thing after another in a short period of time.

The most I ever won was £10 on a lottery scratch card However, as unbelievable as this may sound, my sister actually won a Wii back in 2008 by correctly answering some quiz in a girly magazine. We were all absolutely gob-smacked

I have never won a competiton or a contest but the best thing I have won is my partners heart. I am so happy that I won her love and had 2 beautiful little girls with her. I know its not exactly what you was looking for but that really is the best and the only thing I have won!

i don't win in any luck contest or any raffle. i get things by doing some work for it. wish i could be lucky. there is such a different feeling when we get something we didn't expect to win or get. i want that feeling but it seems so elusive.

I am not a really lucky person, but i won some small prizes before, several times only 5 yuan. Only once was 50 yuan. That's lotteries. I attended reading text book context at primary school and won a ball pen... Doesn't matter lucky or not, if a person attend more contests, then he/she must have more chance to win.

Wonderful point, the more contests that you enter, you are definitely increasing your own odds of winning.

I never win anything! But I dont pity myself, because most people in life feel the same way I do. The last time I can recall something that I won was when I was in the 5th grade, I won a raffle and got a "free" snickers bar. But I actually spent like $5.00 on raffles lmfao, and that got me about 50 raffle entries. And even though I could have taken that $5.00 and bought about 6 snickers, I WON something and that was a good feeling :)

You've brought up a very good and very valid point here, a lot of times people that consider themselves to be lucky have actually invested more in the price of tickets than the value of the prize that they actually win.

Yes I won 4,444 dollars off a scratch tickets over 9 years ago and a few times since I have won a little from my powerball tickets. I was very excited when I scratch off the ticket and found out I had won that much. I made a copy of it and then sent it in the mail certified and insurance it.

Congratulations on that huge win on your scratch off ticket. My mother has just recently devised a plan so that we will be able to play the powerball every time. It will take just a quarter from myself and each of my two siblings as well as quarter from my mother for each drawing. Then, if we ever win we will split the winnings, no matter how small four ways.

I am not a lucky person, i do not win more, just small things. I often make a excuse for myself, big chance is waiting for you. It can make me feel better. I won competition,it is not much money, but i am happy.

...Hi dorannmwin, I was trying to think back to see what I have ever won, and the only thing I could think of was a basket of fruit. We were on a short cruise in Philadelphia and they were drawing tickets out of a hat I believe, of all things my girlfriend drew my ticket and I won one of the prizes which was a fruit basket. I was shocked. I have won a little money on a scratch off lottery ticket here and there. Take care.

In the contrary with you, I consider myself a lucky person. When I was at 6th grade of elementary, I won a bike. A year later I won another bike, next is a fan, and then last year I got a refrigerator. All those stuffs are from lucky drawings and still used at my household. as for contest, I won sometimes when I was still at high school and I was proud about it of course
