Hey. I was wondering if anybody knows any healthy ways to get energized. Lately I been feeling tired, with zero energy. I tried drinking energy drinks for awhile but that just made me feel worse. Some people say that it could be lack of sleep but I dont see how that could be when I get my 8 hours in. Its probably lack of exercise, i just wish i could have enough energy to work out for more than 10 minutes. If anybody knows any ways to get some energy and feel revitalized, in a healthy way, please let me know, it would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

Hi AGaray, I don't know your personal circumstances but if you are not very active in life then this can make you feel very tired. If you don't exercise on a regular basis then this can definitely lead to fatigue. I exercise on a regular basis and as I result I feel so good inside and you will feel the same if you apply yourself. You don't need to go overboard with it and you can begin with ten minutes daily. My favourite exercise is cycling and I tend to do this on a regular basis. Also, you should try listening to motivational tapes. I personally use coaching tapes and they give me exactly what I need when I need it. I can't advise you on a good diet as I'm not very good at that either!. I purchased three exercise machines from Best Direct the shopping channel and I have never look back since! I have the totalgym xli, the Ab lounge xl and the Gazelle Freestyle xl and they are fantastic pieces of equipment! I started by exercising for ten minutes daily and then I gradually built up to working out for twenty minutes three times per week. This method isn't for everyone but you need to try different things to see what works for you. Good luck. Andrew

energy is always with you u just need to set the mind frame, its boredom thats getting to u thats why laziness comes upon u driving your energy away,so find what is getting u bored and u find the energy again, and if it is food then try the ancient sweet potato juice,u can bite a piece and chew on it or u can blend it,it provides real energy for the enzymes within the body

I was browsing through various tips and I found few at ezinearticles.com that could be really helpful to you: There has got to be a way to feel more energetic throughout the day. With all this talk about energy supply and renewable resources, you might be asking yourself, what about me and my physical energy throughout the day. Surely there has got to be a way to feel more energetic and be more alive on a daily basis. And you know what, you're right. Too many people go through life feeling lethargic and sapped of energy and they sit back in front of the TV and don't ask themselves if there could be something better. If only I had more energy for...you fill in the blank. The thing is we can do things to increase our energy levels every day. If you want to feel more energetic in your life then read on as I have some powerful tips to share. Tips For Increasing Energy Levels Right Away One of the easiest things you can start doing today to increase your energy level is to stop eating so much. Simple as it sounds, most of us realize that when we eat too much we often practically put ourselves to sleep. We in turn end up drunk on food - regularly eating way too much food. When you eat too much your body expends lots of energy simply trying to digest all that food you are consuming. Give your body a much needed break and start eating less today. Another thing is that the kind of foods you eat can keep your body busier than it should be trying to digest less natural foods. For example, fried foods can take a toll on your body like you wouldn't believe in so many ways. Simply cutting out fried foods in your daily diet can give your metabolism a much need break. And in turn you are rewarded with feeling lighter on your feet and on your way to feeling more energetic every day. Hope this helps you..

There are many factors why people do lack energy, some are due to health problems like if ill,or do not eat the right kind of food suitable to gain energy for the day, some have physical problems that they cannot meet activities required in a day, some have mental problems, depressions or anxiety that tend to affect all their activities, some have no problems stated above but really do not FEEL the day as bright and energetic as it seems for others. Taking energetic drinks have different side effects to the user, some good or bad. in psychological aspect,If you keep an active mind full of plan activities and if you have inspirations, then it is sufficient for you to move and work in a day. SOme people though tired still works because they are inspired, But, if you have problem with your food eating habits, it might be a factor too to keep you always rested, then the best to do is change it right now by choosing foods that will tend you to give good outcome and energy. If nothing in above is in your case right now, then I guess, you have to evaluate yourself totally all the things as to what is your likes and dislikes, plans and what you wanted to be, Exercise is good but what will keep you doing the exercise that is the question. If you exercise then afterward you feel tired and restless then that is not the main problem. Do try to analyze yourself for you to identify the causes then pick the best remedies from all of us here to assist you in you problem. There is no harm in trying if it would give you better outcome.

What works for me eating fresh fruit,it seems to give me energy. The enrgy drinks don't work because they have caffiene in them, when the caffiene effect wears off,you feel more tired than you were before you drank it.I think fruit gives natural energy,so the energy has a real effect.

Do not use energy drinks to try and get energy, there so bad for you! A good way to get energy is get physically active. Working out every day will increase your energy levels, and strength. Which will give you more endurance and energy through out your day. Also start eating better, processed foods are stripped of nutrition, giving you nothing for fuel. Don't eat empty calories, eat vegetable, fruits, whole grains. Eat many small meals through the day to keep up your energy levels. Foods like legumes (nuts, beans) and carbohydrates are natural energy sources. Also get into a good sleep pattern, a lot of the reason people are tired during the day is because they have either under slept or over slept, causing them to be sluggish all day.

Yeah Energy drinks give you artificial energy that doesnt last, and you will feel like crap afterwards. The best thing you can do for naturally long term energy is to restore & improve your health. You are soo slow on energy because your probably have a lot of toxin build up inside of your body 1)DO A FULL BODY/COLON CLEANSE! I know that sounds gross, but your colon and liver is probably packed with sooo much gunk and toxins, once you get rid of it, you will feel like a brand new person! 2) Eat right! When you eat cookies, chips, fried food, that stuff destroys your body and slows you down big time! 3)Drink alot more water! Water flushes your body of toxins!

Yeah you are right in the lack of exercise. But I know that is the hardest one to do. It's really hard to force yourself to exercise even when you don't feel like it. I have found that it is very much a mind set. I have to set a goal and keep my eyes on that goal to see it through. Take for instance running. I pick a destination and push myself to get to that destination. I don't think about how tired I am or how cold it is outside. I have one thing on my mind...the goal. This would be a smaller step in a bigger goal of getting in shape and having more energy. Another big part of this is eating right. For me its try to keep a low sugar and salt intake. It helps a ton when I have the right stuff in me. Keeps me from feeling sick while running. Hope this helps!

First of all, it may be a good idea to go see your doctor, to rule out anything that could be health related. Many of the energy drinks have a form of caffeine in them, and the energy is fast and short lived. The one thing that really energizes me is green smoothies, and almond milk smoothies. Green smoothies are a combination of: 1 or 2 cups of water Handful of spinach 1 or 2 bananas Fruit; strawberries, mango, cherries, blueberries, oranges, whatever combo or single fruit you enjoy. The fruit can be fresh or frozen. I love the smoothies with frozen fruit, especially in the summer months. Mango, and pineapple make wonderful green smoothies. Also you can use romaine lettuce, and other greens instead of spinach. Spinach is used often because it has very little taste, and you can't taste it in the smoothie. The fruit, spinach, banana, water combo is blended in your blender, until smooth. My favorite is chocolate almond milk (I buy it already made at the grocery store in the health food section) blended with one banana, and strawberries. It is such a pretty smoothie and so yummy! Fruit and vegetables are one way to increase your energy. We tend to eat too much junk at this time of the year and it bogs down our systems. Give it a try, you may see a difference within a week!

Lack of exercise is probably the biggest contributing factor. If you only have energy to work out for 10 minutes, then fine. Do 10 minutes a day this week, and next week go for 15 minutes. Gradually work your way up to a decent amount of exercise. Getting 8 hours of sleep may not be enough if the sleep quality is not good. Do you wake up alot? Sleep apnea and other sleep problems can cause you to feel sluggish as well. Too much caffeine could be hurting your sleep...Try to cut back on it.
