Christmas and decorations!

I always decorate for Christmas. My husband thinks I go overboard with the decorating. I have a lot of Santa's and ceramic houses I painted. I have three Christmas trees that I put up and decorate. I am sorry that you did not put up a tree, but I do understand.

My mom doesn't celebrate the holidays, so we never decorate. I have a tiny tree that I got from Dollar General last year that operates on batteries that I light up at night. It sits on my desk, and I put my boyfriend's gifts behind it. I also got a stocking from my friend [we exchanged gifts early] this year, so I hung that on my closet door handle. I got a stocking for my boyfriend last year and that hangs on the other closet handle. Aside from that, my room is bare. Next year when my friend and I move in together we'll decorate up a storm, because she loves the Christmas spirit and decorating. So I'm excited for next year. But this year my house is bare, as it is every year, aside from my room.

Yes, I put up a tree this year. I actually put up 2 trees, one is regular sized, and the other is a 1 1/2 foot mini tree in the kitchen (where we all spend a good deal of time.) I think the main reason I still do the trees is because my grandkids love them so much, plus it gets me more into the holiday spirit. I refuse to move a lot of furniture just for a tree,where I put it each year I usually only have to move one chair and side table to do it. A large tree is a hassle as I'm getting older, but I love to look at the ornaments that my kids, and other relatives have made over the years. I'm 60 and I still have all the old ornaments from when I was a little child, so for me, it's like a walk down memory lane to Christmas's past:-) Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

I have never put up christmas decorations nor do I intend to put up any such decorations .When I lived at home with my mom ,she never really indulged in decorations and I somehow became the same way optting for a simple life .I prefer to stay at home and have a quiet day without all these extravagancies

Yes, I did! I have put up all the decorations and all the lights. I have downloaded all the best Christmas songs and movies and I can say, that at home is already Christmas!!!
