What would happen if the Internet was to crash for one day?

Besides not being able to get on myLot :p what are some other things that wouldn't happen if the Internet was 'down' for a day. World wide.

Doom and mass hysteria for starters. And many four letter words would be uttered the world over that I don't think would be appropriate to reprint here.
