My exams are next month and my doctor has put me on bed rest until my son is born...like 2 weeks AFTER the scheduled exams. I really hate it. I love going to school. It gives me a since of pride that I am bettering myself and my family by continuong my education. I know its a health hazard but my baby is not due for another 6 weeks. Thats forever from now. I really wish they would have at least let me finish out the week and say good bye to everyone since I wouldnt see them again. This blows. =[

Aw, congratulations on your son. :) Also, you can continue to go to school as soon as you are ready after your baby, so it's not like you can't ever go back. :) Feel better!

hi bambi could you have your exams done in your hospital room, would the college let you do that? It might ease your mind a bit to have these exams over and done with. ask and find out if you
could do that. otherwise concentrate on giving your little one the best possible care. He must have a very good reason for wanting you to have bed rest, I went through that after a seige of hepatitis and I know other women who have had to go on bedrest during their pregnancy too. Its a bummer but it will pass quickly though. good luck God bless.

Oh, I know it's sometimes so frustrating having to just lie there and do nothing. But you can still read, right ? And I see you're still mylotting...so it's not that bad, dear. But it's brave of you to focus on your baby now... because yes, your child is your future too. If you have a healthy and happy baby, you'll forget everything else for a season.. You can always catch up with school afterwards. A lot of my friends do that. Your emotions do affect your baby's emotions too, so start looking forward to a new life, make plans, daydream, and 6 weeks is very fast..believe me. Good luck, and cheer up.
