Nova Scotia is a wonderful place to visit

I've gone to Nova Scotia twice in the last year for work and holiday and have fallen in love with this beautiful, artisan filled, musical province. It's one of the oldest places in Canada and full of history. I just went back to Halifax again in November and had a terrific seafood dinner at a downtown restaurant called McKelvies - Delishes Fishes Dishes. This really was one of the nicest dinners I've had anywhere. The food was excellent, as was the service and it's a pleasant fairly large dining room on different levels that add some interest to the room. Highly recommend it. Not cheap, but worth the price. Their homemade coconut cream pie was light and fluffy and full of whipped cream and the end to a perfect meal... Another place worth visiting is Mahone Bay. Mahone Bay is famous for their three historic churches. The bay itself is beautiful. We happened on it by accident on the way to Lunenberg. The plaque at the entrance to town says "We live in a beautiful place and are happy to share it with you." Every store has been thought out to add to the experience of being in this lovely place. They're a house proud lot in Nova Scotia. Everything was colourfully painted and beautifully kept up. Nova Scotia is a place to feed your soul - music, art, theatre, good food, lots of entertainment, lots of water and history. Well worth a visit. Anyone else been there recently?

I've visited Nova Scotia a couple of times. The most fun I had there was in the summer when I went to the big Busker Festival in Halifax. Awesome performers. It was the first time I had ever been to see any Buskers and thoroughly enjoyed it. And it was held right down by the water, a very nice setting for such an event.

That really sounds like a beautiful place. Picturesque and warm. I wish to visit the place some time future. You have reviewed it very well as well. I loved the welcome message. Both Nova Scotia and Mahone Bay sound like dream come true. Thanks for sharing your travelogue with us.
