my pet dog died a month ago

Yes I have. A few years ago my mom had to put down my Shar-Pei because a tumor on her neck. I couldn't even bare to go with her to do it. So when she came home I watched her walk to the dumpster and throw her leash and collar away. It still hits me to this day. My mom vowed never to have a dog again. Then a little over a year after me and my sister went to the ASPCA to look around with no intentions. And we fell in love with this terrier mix named Timber. So I signed all the paperwork for her, a couple days later my mom went to pick her up. As soon as my mom saw her she fell in love. Even with Timber now. My mom, sister and I still miss our Abbie and think about her every day. It's true that no pet can be replaced. So your new dog may fill a void, but you'll always think of your other dog.
