I will be visiting my folks a hundred miles away in a place called Blackpool, Lancashire, England lol. I shall be looking forward to catching up with my family and having a good chinwag with them all. Going in a few hours' time actually but will be back here on the 3rd Jan. Hoorah!

A chinwag is where people chat, gossip and generally catch up on things. Quite an apt description really lol :-)

Christmas at our house, with my uncle - the first Christmas in 20 years we have been together. It is going to be awesome. Our oldest is a New Year's Eve baby so we usually go out for an early dinner then home to ring in the New Year. We are expecting a big snow to start in a couple of hours, and more on Christmas Eve so we should have a white Christmas. Merry Christmas!!!!

I understand, my youngest is 8 and no longer believes in Santa. She figured it out earlier this fall. I'm so bummed! Now I know how my dad felt when we stopped believing! He kept trying to talk my mom into having another baby. LOL

Wow, that does sound awesome, I wish I was there myself lol. My newphew is 20 on Christmas Eve but it used to be more of an event when he was younger. Still gets two sets of presents though, the lucky thing!

My sister is in town for the next week, so I'll be doing my best to spend as much time with her as I can. That doesn't mean I can't go to work - I have to go to work. We will be doing Christmas actually on Christmas Eve - as is our family's tradition. I will be working on Christmas day, so I have to be at home, well, in town so I can work. That's fine, since I'm friends with my client, we are going to watch a movie, but I still have to do my Friday chores like making sure she has enough food to get thru the weekend.

I must admit I really like Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is always an anti-climax for some reason.

Your name says what you'll be seeing in Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia. We are staying in Houston, Texas for Christmas and then traveling to OKC and Wichita, KS after the New Year. Have a safe trip.

My husband and I will be staying close to home this year. Tomorrow we are hosting his family's Christmas get-together at our home. I decided to do something a little "outside the box" (read: cheap) this year. Instead of roasting a turkey, mashed potatoes...you know, the works, I have decided to make Tacos, Taco Soup, Tortilla chips and dip. We are having a fiesta! We decided not to exchange gifts this year, because there is WAY too many of us and, frankly, everyone is broke. I'm bringing out the board games and we are going to sit back, sip tea and have a great time.
