Do you travel to states other than the one you live in? How many states have you been to? Which ones did you enjoy visiting the most so far?

Not many. But I have seen everything that a normal tourist needs to see. I have been to New York,New Jersey Bufallo, Washington, Florida, (The Bahamas), California, Denver - These places gave me enough to remember for a life time. I have a dream to visit Alaska which I hope to one day.

...Hi allknowing, Thanks for your comment. I think that I would agree with your conclusion. Some states are so very similiar that you would think you had visited them before. Like Georgia, South and North Carolina, the three are quite similiar to me interior wise. You've had a taste of the northeast, the south, the northwest, the midwest, the west and the upper mideast. That is just about all the flavors in the United States. I'd say you have traveled far and wide in the country, which is great. There are many places in the US that I'd like to see in person, like the Grand Canyon, but pictures may have to do it for me. Take care, have a Happy New Year.

...Hi there allknowing, How very nice of you to give me a visual trip through words to the Grand Canyon. That was an unexpected treat. It sounds spectacular, and I am sure you really enjoyed yourselves. It is huge I would imagine and very breathtaking to view. Thanks so much for sharing the addition, very interesting information. I have been on one of those small planes, I was very thankful when we landed. Take care.

Travel - The Grand Canyon is one of the exquisite sights that one must not miss while in the US
Grand Canyon is a colorful, steep-sided gorge, carved by the Colorado River, in northern Arizona. The canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and is largely contained in the Grand Canyon National Park — one of the first national parks in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of the Grand Canyon area, visiting on numerous occasions to hunt mountain lions and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The Grand Canyon was a grand experience for me. We were put up at the Luxor in Las Vegas and we were taken by a small plane with just 14 of us over the Colorado River - the turbulent ride frightened me. We spent a couple of hours at the Canyon - truly a memorable trip that was!

I have only been to a few...I have been to Wisconsin, Ohio and Virginia. I lived in Virginia for over a year but the other two places I have only visited. I am not much of a traveler and if I didn't have family that lived in these other two states I would of never visited there either...

....Hi there froggieslover, We lived in Virginia when I was growing up. I liked it there, got into playing tennis there and still love the sport, though I don't play now. Just watch all the time. I have been through Ohio quite a few times when we would drive to Chicago for our youth confernces. Never have been to Wisconsin, but it looks very nice and green. Thanks for responding. Take care.

Wisconsin is a beautiful state and if you ever get the chnce to go there you should, you won't be disappointed. When we have taken the train to Wisconsin we get dropped off in Chicago and and then our family picks us up there because if not we would have a four hour lay over and i must say Chicago is too crazy for me and I am just glad when we finally get into Wisconsin...

...Hi froggieslover, Thanks for the additional information about Wisconsin. Some states seem have certain personalities, Iowa makes me think of farming, as does Georgia, Maine makes me think of a lot of water, Wisconsin seems like a lot of rolling green hills and kind of serene. I would love to visit Wisconsin, I'm sure I would like it very much, take care.

....Hi peavey. You could be considered a state globe trotter Out of all of the states you have listed, I have only been to Iowa. Had a good time while I was there, it was a job assignment, met some nice people while I was there. Semi-interesting little side story, one of the girls on assignment with me had been in a class with me as well, had met a married gentleman, there, and he wound up divorcing his wife and marrying this girl he met in class. Stuff happens. Anyway back to the states, thanks for sharing. Take care.

Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Louisiana,Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermount and Colorado that would be 22 states. One of the states I grewup in and one I now live in which are different so I am not sure if they count. I like visiting Texas, Louisiana, Florida and New York because I went to the big town in these states.

.....Hi there happy, Well you have seen a lot of the United States. I was born in the state of Georgia, and with two feet of snow or so outside here in Jersey, I am wishing for a little Georgia warmth. I had great fun in Dallas and Houston Texas. Visited Chicago, Illinois a lot, went to grade school for a year in Hartford, Connecticut. Stayed in New York for a smingen, lived in Pennsylvania and graduated hugh school there, then moved to New Jersey. Been to Boston, worked on assignment in New Orleans, and Florida, as well as vacationed there. Have been through North and South Carolina. I do think you have me beat on the total number. Thanks for sharing. Take it easy.

Lets start. New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nevada, California, Arizona. Total 17 states. Natural beauty wise, the western states are awesome, but they cannot beat New York/New Jersey when it comes to state to work in.

....Hi AniruS, well now you have been in a great many states. Have to ask, did you take a camera with you when you were in each of them? I have visted some of the same ones, lived in Virgina, and New York as a child and Georgia where I was born. Have visited Masschusetts, California, Florida and Illinois. Passed through North and South Carolina. Now live in New Jersey, where right now, looks like Alaska. Thanks for sharing. Happy holidays.

I have only been to a few states. Massachusetts when I was 8 years old because my aunt lives there, New York when I was 8 years old because my uncle lives there, and West Virginia because it is close to my part of Ohio and we sometimes go over there to go to the doctors. I don't travel but I wish I could. :)

...Hi cwilson26, Well even if it is a few states, it may be more than some people. I have an Aunt who lives in Georgia. She does not like airplanes, and if she has been to one other state besides Georgia, I would be very surprised. That's still four states that you have been in, including the one you live in. The interestimg thing about the internet is that you can travel anywhere, just hit a few buttons. I went over to Paris and viewed a lot of the things in the museums and the tourist attractions. Except for the plane ride and jet lag, I felt like I had a mini vacation in Paris, France. It's great. Have a very happy and safe New Year.
