Fighting for toys

I started watching over my kids a few months ago and i noticed one reason why theyre always fighting... TOYS! There was one time that i got really mad because they were fighting for 1 toy with all those different toys surrounding them. And because of that, i decided to put all toys in a plastic bag and hang it high so that no one can reach it and never play with it anymore
. It even adds to those mess that we clean everyday. The following day i saw them playing cheerfully by putting together all the chairs and using their imaginations as if they were riding in a roller coaster. They were like screaming and laughing when thinking going up and going down. Because of that, i thought that maybe now they know how to play together so i brought the toys back that afternoon and guess what happened? Its royal rumble again
. And so i began to think, should i allow them to play with their toys and keep fighting or just let them play using their wild imaginations and all of us are happy. because sometimes without toys, they tend to have self pity when they saw other kids around playing with their toys when they have their own but cant play with it. got any idea guys?

hi I read all the other responses drakesuyat and one thing came to mind that nobody else had thought of,instead of getting rid of a lot of toys and maybe making one or both unhappy,just buy another toy exactly like the one they were squabbling over and then if either of them try to scrap, a swift litte slap on the butt, and a
reminder that there is two toys just a like so each of you play with your own. I
hear you fight again, you will get two hard swats on your butt, understand? I know this worked when my son had a play pal over and they started squabbling over a toy when there was two identical toys. it did work.

i already did that one time. the problem i encountered was, the only guy among the brood of four can easily break every new toy you gave him. once he noticed that it look different from the other, royal rumble begins! but il try to it again maybe this time, the unbreakable one. can you think of any?
