Liverpool lost again. This time the Reds, who played with ten players, defeated the hosts 0-2 Portsmouth. In the dihelat action at Fratton Park Stadium, Liverpool is relatively more dominant and controlled the ball mastery. However, few chances they created in the first round can not produce results. In contrast, at 34 minutes Pompey managed to make his supporters cheered. Hard kick Kevin-Prince Boateng outside the penalty box was still ditepis Jose Reina, but the ball either discarded by Glen Johnson. Johnson's ball exhaust direct result of being struck by Belhadj through a hard kick right foot. Thus, the net robeklah Reina. Liverpool finally have to play with 10 men after Javier Mascherano's red dikartu minute 44. Argentina midfielder was removed from the field umpire after crashing Tal Ben Haim. Pompey was born the second goal on 82 minutes through Federic Piquionne. Goal Piquionne created after feedback from the right side, accepted by the back nine attackers were numbered. Patulan ball right leg after being arrested with a single kick struck volley from a narrow angle. This is the seventh defeat of Liverpool this season so that their position was still in the order of the standings with six 27 value. what do you think about it?? is there still a chance for them?

Given the current state of Pompey, any team that loses to it, shows the lack of quality of that team. Liverpool were really that bad and Pompey had one good game in the whole season for them which unfortunately for Liverpool came in this match. Loosing and loosing 2-0 was really the rock bottom for Liverpool. What is Benitez's fate going to be especially if Liverpool do not make it to the 4th spot?? Cheers! Ram

rafa has lost the plot totally, he has bought loads of average players like ngog, babel (has potential but never shows it), Kuyt (chases everything but cant hit an open net), to name a few. Also sold some world class players alonso, keane etc etc they have one of the best keepers in the premiership in reina, and possibly the best striker in torres but the rest of the team are either average players or players which are not playing to their potential I honestly think rafa has lost the players and fans respect now, they are not giving blood sweat and tears for rafa. Also rafe seems to make excuses for looses instead of saying we just weren't good enough and he guarantee's we'll finish in 4th ha ha ha theres another lie from the manager on borrowed time, we will prob end up in mid-table. Also the form that liverpool is in is relegation form if it was say sunderland they would be tipped to go down in this form.

no way as a life long liverpool fan and season ticket holder, liverpool have sold too many good players and bought in too many average players they no longer have the fear factor where teams fear liverpool. Coupled with the rest of the smaller clubs getting better liverpool are now a shadow of what they once where, they are able to get them selves up for the big games but the smaller teams liverpool just don't turn up. They are going to struggle to finish 4th, though I still think they will if rafa gets the club sorted as he is in charge of the team and its his decision who plays so if liverpool continue the freefall then the head guy rafa needs to be replaced but liverpool cant afford to sack him. So I think the downward spiral will continue.

Even i saw the match yesterday.. !! I dont find them as a team who deserves to win. Portsmouth really played like a winning team. I never have watched portsmouth playing. After seeing them play with great enthu and spirits, i was really delighted. I agree it was portsmouth's home ground, but i strongly feel football is not like cricket where the game more or less demands on pitches to decide the advantage factor. Its just a ground anywhere is the same dimensions, except the crowd which wil have an intense support on their home team. But portsmouth.. Hoodos to you.. YOu deserve a 3-0 win.
