I didnt have to work today AND I have the next 2 days off ...I have to work 23rd/24th/25th so I have to have my Christmas between 5pm Christmas Eve and 12.30pm Christmas Day (I wanted to celebrate Christmas and have the dinner/presents etc today so that we could take our time and enjoy it but I was over-ruled) then I'm having 3 days off and hoping to visit my son for a "second" Christmas Are you working for any part of the Christmas break?

in the past i have had jobs where you had the option of taking either christmas day or new years day off. i chose new years day because at the time my borderline psychotic grandmother was not in the nursing home and having a very short family christmas was actually a bonus...

Hmm yes, I can see the benefits of your choice. I'm working both this time as I did last year... & last year I did Boxing Day too, so we had our Christmas on 24th. It worked out ok but this year will be a bit rushed I think.
