Another natural disaster - Mayon eruption

I recall that December when Mayon appeared on TV and the lava flows out of the volcano. I commented, wow even Mayon volcano has Christmas lights. It looks like the timing was right. A volcano is not a good place to celebrate Christmas is that so?

Being a Bikolano makes me sad that part of Albay municiplities and cities near the volcano would again feel threatened by Mayon. Though we are far from the volcano I know they are really feeling bad about their situation being cramped into evacuation centers and all. The timing is also really bad since its Christmas time families will all celebrate in a crammed evacuation centers. But from what I know the provincial government has made preparations to make the evacuation centers as cozy as possible and they sent many entertainers from the military, police and local entertainers just to provide some comfort and entertainment for them. Not much, but it would help them ease their anxieties and fear about the situation.

This unforeseen natural calamities happens anytime and those who are affected should pray that God would protect them from more sufferings. We should also pray for the victims and hope they can still celebrate christmas.

I feel sad to the residents here and I hope the Mt. Mayon would not erupt this coming Christmas and New Year. I know that we can't control natural calamities. Let's pray that the eruption will not going to happen.

yes.. me too... it's really a bad timing.. but at least police officials did there very best to entertain all the evacues...

I pity the residents, too... It's the christmas season, it is supposed to be time of merriment but the residents nearby mayon cannot celebrate the festivity. I heard from the news that a mjor or violent eruption could be posible in a few days becaue of the increase of volcanic earthqukes and tremors.
