For some reason this is super exciting to me. I didn't choose my own numbers, though, I did "quick pick" or whatever that's called - where they're automatically generated. It's not that I feel like I have any chance in hell of winning, but I've tried every other kind of gambling: why not try this one, too? My questions for you: 1.) When was the first time you bought a lottery or powerball ticket? Were you psyched about it? 2.) Did you choose your own numbers or have them choose them for you? If you chose your own numbers, what kind of methods did you use to pick? Do you have any superstitions about the numbers you picked? And finally: 3.) Have you ever won anything, significant or insignificant, from lottery tickets?

Lottery - power ball - Lottery ticket - power ball
Hi maezee. Every now and then I would buy a ticket. When the jackpot gets too big, you'd hear about it from people, and I am more or less intrigued, and then I get myself a ticket. I couldn't remember the exact date I first bought a ticket. And yes I was psyched about it. I always had my own numbers (birthdays, etc) and I felt psyched during draw dates. Until I took a class in statistics, where I realized the real odds of winning. So now, I just don't bother with methods. I just do quick pick. BTW, the biggest I've won was $70.

Well, good luck to you. As they say, if you don't play, you can't win. I play every so often and always play quick pick. I figure, if I had numbers that I always play and they hit when I wasn't playing, I would be really upset. The most I've won is $5 which payed for the ticket I bought.
